If you’re considering only two in a 10 gal, I’d say MAYBE that’s ok, and probably okay for temporarily growing out the babies… or briefly/ seasonally breeding a pair. I mean, when I was a kid, yes; I’ll admit, I was like 7 y/o and I had four ADULT green anoles in a ten gallon. Lol. It wasn’t that bad, they had plenty of places to hide. But again-this was like, 1993, and I know better now! Haha. Now I’m of the opinion that the only appropriate animals for ten gallons are Pac-Man frogs, and similarly sedentary species, that never really go anywhere, haha. Or, strictly TINY animals are good for a ten gal, like dart frogs or small fish (as an aquarium), shrimp, etc. But if it’s for you breeding, I’d say maybe it could work, or for growing out babies, yeah. But on that note, if you’re thinking about doing a 10 gal, is it because you already have a tank and want to use it? Or are you gonna buy a new one? If the latter, why not just go for a 20 or 25 gallon? Not that much more and the space is valuable. There are also some nice taller tanks, in different shapes (like hexagonal, cylindrical, or even bow-front/half moon). Most of those tanks aren’t overly expensive, and they come in various sizes from 15, 20, to 30 gallons, even. Plus, a taller tank is just better for them overall, to climb vertically, and decorate taller, than in a standard 10 gallon… which is essentially a box. Also look on Craigs’ list. Apparently we’re not allowed to type the names of other websites, because KZfaq thinks we’re promoting other businesses. I was blocked for a day because I recommended someone look something up on Goo-gle or Craig-list.. isn’t KZfaq owned by Google?! Wtf. Anyway, I’ve bought and traded numerous items & animals off of there. Some shockingly good finds, if you’re lucky, like ExoTerra or Zilla enclosures for 50%+ off sometimes, just make sure to double check for quality. Also, plenty of people are selling or giving away various plain aquariums and tanks there. All sizes. Good luck!

They could technically copulate but no offspring would be produced.

I believe most anole are semi monogamous. Some can tolerate 2 females with one male, but not always. Most males do fight though. I wouldn't risk it for most species.
