I want to thank you for all the tips and information you provide, we went on march and let me tell you that we rode almost everything (but jungle cruise and Aladdin carpet). We got to the park at 10:30 am and left after the night show and all of your trick on Genie + worked wonders. Playing the slots on the app got us 20 minutes return time vs 2 hours. Went to Magic Kingdom with my family and we rode just about everything before 7 o clock enough time to grab those souvenirs and some snacks for a pretty good spot for the fireworks show my wife was iffy about the Disney Genie and I told her I studied your videos especially this one for days 😂 so I told her it’s not a option and for anyone that might be thinking that I’ll simply put it this way if your traveling from a different state like me you’ve invested so much on your trip already it’s a must have because not only did we get to do everything with a hour rain delay by the way where rides were closed and then later swamped like crazy with people it was a no brainer at the end but the way your videos helped me was just so good so thank you once again you really helped make My family vacation not just be perfect at the most magical place on earth but what really made it all worth it was my daughters because they will never forget in there life this day and that to me is priceless so God bless and continue to put this videos out because your amazing at it!

I know there are people who like Genie+ more than the old fastpass because of not having to plan ahead but for those of us that do want to plan, it made it so much easier. I would map out my route around the park (don’t like a lot of crisscrossing) based on the 3 rides I picked and where they were, book dining around that, and still have plenty of unplanned time to do whatever we felt like. But I only really looked at my phone while I was in line grabbing another ride. I didn’t have to be on it constantly because I had a route and could just enjoy myself knowing I had things booked. I think the best trip is a mix of pre-booked and spontaneity. And no huge pressure at 7am!

Hi Rob, thanks for the great video. One bad thing about this is that AK and EP's lightning lane might be even harder to grab since the price dropped especially for the one-park-only guest. For HS and MK, since their price is the same as the all-four-park, the motivation of park hopping to the other parks (for those who purchased the park hopper option) becomes higher to maximize their utility. Even though the afternoon lightning lane might be easier to grab for MK and HS (skeptical but let's see), the lightning lane pressure will come to EP and AK, which Disney loves, because they are using the price discrimination-ish style to maximize their profit with almost no marginal cost. It is sad to see that by the end of the day, Disney always has a genius way to take your money out of your wallet and keeps testing your breaking point. Before hitting your breaking point, they will keep maximizing the profit. Now I feel Disney is only for rich people to have a perfect experience, and I won't be able to get a chance to go back to Disney anymore.😔

Feel like Rob could put these videos into a playlist and market it as a Master’s in Mouseology from the University of Ear Scouts. I have *no idea* how people manage to do a Disney vacation without researching nowadays and that makes me extremely thankful for Rob but also so sad for the old days of just showing up at the park and running around joyously with no schedule, phones, or gimmicks.

The last time I went was when Genie Plus first came out. It took me two days of trial and error, and time wasted in the parks to figure out how it really worked! You’re the best at keeping us up to date! “simply the best, better than all the rest” ❤ Not going to lie, I was hoping when you said we had to make a choice with genie+, that one of the choices would be purchasing an ultimate genie+ which allows you to jump in any lightening lane ride without having book first (like they have in Paris). Worth every penny!

This my second superThanks to Rob (the other one is on his most viewed video). These videos are absolute gold, thanks to these videos me and my family (wife + 2 daughters of 5 and 2 years old) were able to make the most out of genie+ and ride practically ALL rides at the 4 disney parks, both with genie+ and booking the 2 virtual queues. The ones we didn't (just aerosmith and tower of terror) where cause we prioritized the girls and her character meetings. Keep in mind that in order to achieve this level of rides you obviously need to be very informed, proactive, and move around a lot through the parks, but we enjoy that intensity and had a wonderful vacation. This video is a MUST for that. Just as additional help, I want to detail what we were able to do in all of the 4 parks since it's pretty impressive. Hi, Rob. Thanks for doing these great videos. Got back last week (before this new wrinkle in the Genie+ saga) and your tips/tricks were on point for everything. We had a fabulous trip. IMO - Disney is backtracking. Supposedly one of the complaints with free fastpass was because some people couldn't get the hang of using it and therefore couldn't snag the "good" big ticket rides and didn't want to plan in advance. Now Disney has come up with Genie+ (which as you stated in your video is way more complicated) which was supposed to help level the playing field for everyone on snagging rides because they didn't have to plan ahead if they didn't want to since everyone has to choose day of. But now Disney is going back to a pre-ride selection model (they just found a way to monetize it - shocking). Wouldn't it have been nice if they had just limited each person to one time on each ride on free fastpass to ensure that there were plenty of ride opportunities to go around? That literally was the root of the supposed issue. Yes, I did purchase G+ for half my trip but for the most part, we didn't need it. Our longest ride wait was for ROR and that was only 40 minutes in the middle of the day.

My wife and I really enjoy your videos. We find them one of the best and most helpful with navigating the parts with all the tips and tricks. I would like to see a little more park hopping involving Cheney plus. More specifically, the exact way to purchase lightning lanes for the afternoon parks. What times are you allowed to do so. My wife and I have some disagreements on what we think is right and wrong and we don’t seem to find much clarity either way. we have an upcoming trip in late August where we will be park hopping and we’re trying to find the best set up to let us use cheating plus across at least two or three parks and be able to pick up lightning Lanes for most of the stuff that we would want to do.

So informative… thank you! This is yet another way for Disney to track planned visitors, and also to make money off of AK and Epcot visitors. Previously, if the price was $25-$35, they probably had very few people who would buy Genie+ for AK and Ep, but now they can price it a little lower for those parks and get people to buy it! I admit… if they end up pricing it below $15 for those parks, I’d probably buy it. I really hope that they will soon allow pre-booking of LLs! Thanks for keeping us up to date on breaking news!

Thanks for the update Rob. Since we will be visiting in January I'm not sure we'll need Genie+, but with the pricing changes what's another $30/$50 bucks for the two of us compared to the price of our reservations. 😃 Looking forward to seeing if your predictions come true.

Hmmm. Thanks for this video! But now I am getting concerned about the crowds at AK and EP for our trip in September. We specifically chose those parks to avoid some of the crowds at MK. Hopefully we won't have to rely on genie plus just to have a decent time and get on rides we want by then.

Kali River Rapids is so anticlimactic! They really need to upgrade the ride. You either get soaked or nothing at all. Genie+ is getting so unaffordable for us passholders. 😢 Thank you always keeping us in the loop and providing such great insight!

Having to book lightning lanes 60 days in advance is the opposite of spontaneity. I hate that idea.

Love all your videos and your energy. Coming to WDW for our first visit since 2018 as we are Canadian and covid border shutdowns ended with us selling our DVC points... I have a big Genie+ question that I can't find the answer to anywhere... We are flying in early on Aug 8th to Pop Century and have the 4 day 4 parks pass so we don't (and can't) make park reservations but we are heading to Epcot after dropping our bags at Pop. So my question is if I at 7am buy the Genie- can I book a return time for after lunch right at 7am? We've never been on Remy obviously but I'm assuming that by the time we actually get there the return times will all be gone...

So if you are planning to park hop can you buy genie + for your second park only and start stacking? or do you need to do either the hopper or the park you have a reservation for. Thank you so much for your videos!

I agree, I do not like that you have to choose in the morning you want to PH or not. What Disney should have done was made a price for each park and then made PH an add on price. For example: You buy only AK in the morning and then decide you want to go to MK and then go back on app and pay a smaller fee such as $5-$10 for add on PH. But I truly believe they are testing it out on what people are buying and then change pricing again.

So a thought about upgrading to a park hopper G+. Since G+ allows for one use per ride, would the new park hopper purchase reset that counter or would it still have the completed ride on your account for the day?🤔

Hey rob! So glad we got to meet you yesterday on July 4th. Have they changed something about the 2 hour rule? Both yesterday and today I often noticed it was just one hour in between when I could book another. Ex: booked one at 1:55 and it said I could book the next one at 2:55

I was curious if you park hop and only need the Genie+ for the park hopping to, can you purchase the genie+ for the one park or do you have to buy the hopper pass? Meaning, if i start at AK and hop to Epcot, can I buy the Epcot genie+ at the lower rate compared to the hopper genie+ for both if I only want genie for Epcot? Thank you!!

Love your videos! We pre purchased Genie+ 2 years ago when we booked our trip (which is in 1 weeks time 😱) but the Genie+ system has changed so much since we did that. We have Genie+ included in our tickets but do you know what this new change will mean for us? Do we just get Genie+ access to all parks each day?

If they bring back a fast pass option-it will be for a fee on top of the cost. And that 27 pass for all parks? I’d bet you a dolewhip or a zombie at trader sams that that cost will throttle up to 40/50 on weekends or holidays…or when they feel the urge.

Hi Rob, I just wanted to say Thank You. I subscribed and I love it. I have a question, I’m going to do Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studio on the same day. Obviously I’m going to buy the Genie+, which park you recommend for us to do first? The reason that I’m asking is that at Hollywood studios by the time we get there 2:00pm all the “main” attractions are going to be full, in scared that if we go to Animal Kingdom first cannot do the good ones at Hollywood studio but because Animal close earlier I don’t think we are going to be able to do all the attractions there… that it’s why I’m confused.

Anybody know how the new 4day Magic Tickets can pair with Genie Plus and Fast Lane since there are no reservations?

I really thought Disney had recognized the frustrations of guests about all the price hikes. However much you dislike paying for Genie+, at least it was one price and you had freedom to use it all day hopping between parks. Charging for specific parks (AND MORE THAN THE GENERIC $15 FOR ALL PARKS) really is a kick in the teeth. More money-grabbing from Disney??? Argh!

Thank you so much for your videos! I would really appreciate if you could answer some questions I have about Genie Plus. I am going in a group of 7 ( 2 children, 5 adults) and my youngest child cannot ride many of the attractions. Also 1 or 2 of the adults might choose not to ride the most extreme rides like coasters. What strategy would you suggest?. Can we be logged on on individual accounts and manage different party sizes for some of the attractions? for example, one account managing the whole group, other one managing the 4 people that would ride most of the rides and so on? I think you mention in one of your videos that if you want to edit the group, you would have to start from the beginning. I hope I explained myself... and hopefully you'll answer me! thank you so much!!

If I have already pre-purchased a 10 day park ticket and a 10 day park hopper pass, can I now purchase a genie plus for say EPCOT at $18.00 and then hop to MK after 2pm and still use the genie plus that I purchased for EPCOT????
