Whats your training distances? How regularly? And what distance are you mainly racing to? And are you mainly racing south or North etc, if you short racing and want better results concentrate on a good sprint breed with middle distance ability but mainly a good sprint bird, then stick to hard training distance from whatever direction your club usually races, this is will improve things a lot for you

Hi mate how often should I train them. I take them 10miles, 25, then 50. Then do more at 25. Am I doing it right?

We're racing at 55 miles, 100, 120, 150 then last inland is around 200

@@carinoracingpigeons2580 best to give them 1 50 miles chuck a week start yb, s at 10 miles build them up to a 25 then straight into 1 50 miler a week consistency is key so preferably same day of the week each week, weather permitting! Always from whatever direction your club races the most when you have consistent numbers and results from them on the 50 chucks start paying attention to the best performers, from first to drop and quickest to clock step the best ones up to a 100 miler now and again is also good right before season starts

@@carinoracingpigeons2580 also single bird releases are very important and not discussed enough, if you club racing you want your birds to not feel they have to stick with a flock, you want them to be willing to break for home instantly this can only be achieved by single releases

If you’re racing widowhood then you’re wasting your time training. We won plenty club fed averages and our birds were only trained up to the first race and then they only flew round the house.Hammering widowers down the road means you’ll be flying your race before the actual race (natural racing is different and road training is necessary as a lot of naturals fly poorly around home ) naturals training means heavier feeding as per their workload….widowers eat far less as they tend to do 30-40 mins twice a day max If you aren’t feeding correctly you will never time on though ….and that’s a fact
