Thanks for the link to this one. Listening to Keith Richard’s Talk is Cheap and looked up Calbi. Stunned how many of my faves that he mastered. Worthy of a follow up vid on this guy!

Tim-Great video. I also love everything Marshall Crenshaw puts out. He is an extremely underrated artist. I had the pleasure to meet him back in Summer '01 in CT at an outdoor acoustic show. I was able to spend about 45 minutes with him after the show, discussing music and his songwriting. I was playing in a rock band at the time and we covered a bunch of his songs, and remember telling him they always went over great with the audience. He was very kind and appreciative, and signed my CD booklet I brought and took a few pics with me. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Had a fantastic Thanksgiving capped off by a huuuuge Michigan victory today over OSU. I plan to see Crenshaw on his next Denver or Boulder gig.

Hey Tim, always a pleasure to watch your vids! That Tom Petty is a monster sonicwise. The only one I might disagree with is the Crenshaw. That album was just recorded poorly. I have the Mofi and was disappointed. I do not have the original you speak of. Do you know how they compare sonically?

Hi John, I don’t have the Mofi but my original sounds very nice to my ears. Thanks for watching and commenting.

that was great - will seek out that Tom Petty (currently have none in the collection!) and the Lou Reed (have heaps but haven't come across that album yet!)

In Your Ear used to be a great record store. Now it's just a record store. I used to get Marshall Crenshaw and Lloyd Cole mixed up in the 80's, same sound.

The store in RI is brand new on the water and has a micro brew next door. The prices are super fair, and the nice thing is that about 99.9% of there records are NM. Happy Thanksgiving 🍁
