I’m super happy to have had the opportunity to join in on the stream! I wrote ‘Big Gorilla’ because there was a line in Ripping Me Apart about a 4’9, 1500lb Gorilla line that made absolutely no sense to me. I get it’s more to pain a picture, but that line has always made me chuckle. 😂

SPIRITS and The Stories We Tell Ourselves are my top two albums from them. I love the other three, but the other two are just, well, life changing. They've had a big impact on me... Nothing More is my fourth favorite band of all time... only behind Thirty Seconds To Mars, Periphery, and my number 1; Soundgarden.

Story about Fade In/Fade Out, the second time I saw them live was during TSWTO tour and Johnny announced that FI/FO was dedicated to Mark (their guitarist) and his wife who just lost someone important to them. You could see Mark's wife side stage during the song, utterly heartbroken, and Mark on stage had tears rolling. It was the most emotional live performance I have ever seen. FI/FO was written by Mark about his dad after the birth of his son (the story is on the lyric video btw, it's really interesting). Mark got a well deserved ovation after the song. So powerful.

This whole album isn't about Johnny's divorce, the middle section is. From "Still in Love" through "Just Say When," those are breakup songs. The beginning and end have different themes. I view the start of the album as anger at the world and the end as hope for humanity. Its such a good album, my all time favorite album by anyone ever.

“Do you really want it” & “Fade In/Fade Out” are probably the only 2 songs I’ve heard by Nothing More off their Stories We Tell Ourselves album years ago. By the way, C S just dropped their new song “Letdown” off their new album today. I’m listening to it now & it sounds good. You too might like it!

I even didn’t know that there was a new song by them I haven’t listened to them in a while because I was listening to a band called smash into pieces and I don’t know if you heard them before they are the best
