Another Japanese Junkyard. In this video we visit Miyagi's Junkyard in Okinawa Japan. Many nice cars can be found in the junkyards of Japan. Definitely some good motors still available in a lot of the cars. I hope you all enjoy the video...try not to cry!

The Beams engine in the Altezza is practically bullet proof! The Altezza is a very common Drift car in Ireland they serve as a good alternative to the AE86

You're getting a click with both relays. Sounds more like wiring or a fuse for the power than a relay. And those are the HICAS hoses (your four wheel steering); the attesa is your AWD and is all in the back end... mostly.

If you get a click when you press on the horn, your relay is actually working, check the voltage on the power wire on the horn, check your grounds also, (ground is almost always the root cause of ecectrical problems.)

I actually use to climb up on top of all the cars and just hang out. You can see the ocean from that junkyard. The cars are actually pretty stable

If the relay is clicking it means its working, take a volt meter and check if you get 12v from it to the horn

I cant believe its been almost a year since we have seen the step wagon :( also junkyard and cars for sale in Japan are going to be the videos I miss most! All those cars stacked on top of each other reminds me of the junkyard scene from The Brave Little Toaster where the cars are getting crushed. It seems a bit dangerous but if guess if space is limited, you have 3x the selection to choose from.

Strange to see all of the drive train's still in the cars. I guess they aren't planning on selling the engines before scrapping or they spend a day moving stuff to get to specific parts.

How do those Junkyards even survive? Considering how fast people in Japan throw their cars away, I can't imagine a lot of people going there for parts. I also wonder how much they'd charge for a complete car from the junkyard. Could be a nice bargain for something to beat around a rallyecross track etc.

Scrap metal is where they make all their money. I did buy a eg6 SIR civic from a junkyard for 70000 yen when I lived in Oki but I knew the owner of the junkyard.

Emission control is tight in Japan, reason why you see complete vehicles, a lot of these are brought and shipped overseas, to e.g Australia, New Zealand, Canada just to name afew, a lot of those parts are interchangeable e.g Nissan skyline bet you didn't know the Nissan laurel and the Nissan Cefiro share the same running gear, cost more to import it then what it's really worth

Hey I've been starting to do research into flying over to Japan and buy a 32r gtr in person rather then over the internet or thru an importer here in the states. And I was curious if you believe I could find a good/decent condition one with 20k for the car or should I save up a bit more to find a good condition one? (Just for car expense travel expense is already saved in a different count) thanks!

ok let me know. easy way to figure things out most of the time is if you hit your horn button and you hear the relay working you have connection from your horn button to the relay this not always 100 % but a good rule of thumb but I think you will be back to the junk yard to grab a horn. also if you run into any 89 t0 90 4 door manual skylines I would relay like to know what they are asking for them I miss mine I had when I was over there

I wish being overseas wasn't so strict on car laws. When i was in korea there were so many cars i wanted but because i wasn't married, or had enough rank i wasn't allowed to own a car, or even drive one. I would have taken something with me if i could. Now i just have my MR2 which i'm still happy with. So there's that.
