The Gibson Les Paul Junior Billie Joe Armstrong was my dream guitar when I was younger, in alpine white and wow they got expensive lately but I’m so happy that Gibson are bringing them back for the younger generations who love green day!! I hope it’s a great guitar!!

If it doesn't have to be a bja signature then you can grab a gibson les paul junior form the 2000 for about 800/900$ used, so just 200 more than the epiphone.

I just ordered this through Sweetwater. The price is actually $550 and yes it comes with the hard case. My Oder will not ship till November 16th because I believe that’s the release date.

I always wanted a BJA sig guitar and I love the interior of the case. Hoping the BJA comes with the SD Anitquity P90 that Billie uses but I would get the JJN 1st. The gold pops, love the ebony FB and comes with an SD P90.

I'm a massive Billie Joe fan, I love everything he's done from Green Day to the network. I'm happy that epiphone made a signature but I wish it was the double cut LP jr. or special. I'm also hoping that they do his sparkle burst as one of the colors if there are more colors.

At least two of those Kramers are reissues of signature models without signatures. The Nightswan was the Vivian Campbell model and the Jersey Star was the Richie Sambora model.

An american guitar shop (I'm in the uk) on instagram posted about this guitar today (or yesterday), doing a demo of it, and said they were selling it for around $550 (I can't remember the exact price). So I think the $700 price is a jacked upped reverb price.

I should think that $749.99 would be the price you would pay for a Gibson version, not Epiphone.

The days of a new Gibson for $749.99 are long past (unless a dealer decides to clear out some of their low end $999 models). This is especially true for signature models. If it were a Gibson it would be $1,499.99 at a minimum. Should it be priced lower? Yes, it should.

I recently picked up a used TV yellow Epiphone 57 Reissue LP Jr in great condition with the Epi TKL hardcase for $150. It has a stacked P-100 single pickup, but I'm going to swap it for a regular P90. That's one they need to bring back again!

I got one of these and I’m obsessed with it. Love it. Only thing I want to do is install a stacked P90 to cancel out the hum. Plus I wouldn’t mind a little more of a humbucker sounding p90 anyways

They ended up releasing two versions of this guitar. The cheaper is a bolt-on neck and comes in a starter pack (skip it). The more expensive through-neck version is going for $549 (as if Dec '22), which includes the hardshell case. The pickup is an Epiphone PRO P-90 Humbucker. It also has a graph tech nut and CTS pots. The fingerboard is Indian Laurel though. But still, not a bad price if you're a fan of Green Day. I haven't had the chance to play one yet, but apparently the neck is pretty chunky so idk how I feel about that.

Get the 150 dollar Kramer. I’m curious how they are. They had a run of very inexpensive single pickup super strat type a thing that I heard was quite good. Also around that price point.

I’m a bit biased cause I LOVE Kramer but please feature more of the new Kramer guitars. I got the Ruby Red Baretta a year ago and it was surprisingly good for the price. They’ve released some cool axes. I’m hoping they release a Kramer tele with single pickup and Floyd rose.

A Billie Joe Armstrong signature Epiphone should have been done around 15 years ago. I never understood why they only gave him Gibson signatures when the music appeals mostly to younger players who can't necessarily afford a Gibson. If they'd made an Epiphone LP Junior back then with his name on it they'd have struggled to keep up with the demand for them. I remember Squier did a Mike Dirnt bass at the same time as his first run of signature Fender basses and they did really well.

It's nice to see Epiphone doing a signature model for Billie Joe Armstrong. For my money if I was looking for a single pickup Les Paul type of guitar I would go with the Jared James Nichols gold colored one, more bang for the buck, beefier pick up and a much better looking guitar in my opinion.

The kramer, yes do one! It is on Epiphone's page by mistake, it's there because you searched for les Paul. It comes up as a les Paul shape. 😃 don't ask why, but it always has since they change from the old website

As long as it's a hard wood it doesn't really matter but ebony, obviously makes it a higher end model & old rosewood looks like chocolate, it's gorgeous. Weirdly enough, I've never owned a guitar with a maple board but old Fenders look alright, I guess. (it shows dirt more though)

I own that Gibson Les Paul Junior Tribute Double cut (is this the longest Gibson guitar name?) and it is perfect for playing some Green Day. The white color and case look great, but I wouldn’t pay those prices for an Epiphone.

I had the Kramer assault 220...it was difficult to set up the bridge... But it was a pretty nice guitar.... Traded for an epiphone standard in honey burst with custom made wiring harness and pearly gates pups.... If the kid wouldn't have wanted to trade I'd have the assault 220...got it as a deal Of the day from gc or mf for around 250

Absolutely would love to see Kramer reviews. They look solid. Alnico 5 pick-ups, special push pulls. I've considered. Their higher price point, stuff is super dope. Very Van Halen meets a Fender Gibson vibe.

When is Gibson going to do a Bob Stinson and Paul Westerberg artist model? Bob's would be a white Les Paul Special SG style with gold hardware. Paul's would be a 1955 Les Paul special in blue house paint with "for sale" painted on it.

On the Epi BJA Jr. I'd get it over the JJN only because the control layout bothers me (I don't like the look of the volume and tone controls at an angle. A trivial thing to be sure, but it still bothers me). I'd also get the BJA Jr. over the regular Epi Jr. because I'm not crazy about the look of the veneered top (it makes the guitar look cheap because it's the same veneer on all of them). The price of the Epi BJA Jr. is a little high, but if I found one at around mid $600 or high $500 range I'd definitely find a way to get purchase it.

I grew up in the 80's. Kramer was the be all of rock guitars back then. They just came out with the Berretta Special which for $179 is an amazing guitar. Check it out!!!! I bought one and I have upgraded the Nut from plastic to graphtech and I am changing the tuners to locking. This guitar rocks!!!!!

Don’t excite me trogly , I want to check out one of his signature guitars. Since I like warnings and before greenday (anything after warning ⚠️ Is hit or miss for me). But I like how all his signatures have looked and sounded so fat from pics and videos. Have never had a JR either.

That dealer was being sneaky. The real price, as of today, is $550 and the fretboard is still laurel and not rosewood unfortunately. That's crazy. I have to wonder where they cut corners to get the price down that low.
