They're a nice machine, we had a MF50ex years ago. Had 3point and pto on it. It was a great loader unit very very strong. We traded it for a new tractor in 2006 just wasn't getting the use being a torque converter transmission. They go alright under load they slow down as the load increases but speed up as the load decreases.

Yeah all we want this for is loader work basically so it's a good fit. We liked the 50EX and probably would have ended up with one eventually, we had no idea they had built a 60HX based skip loader. Interesting about the TC trans it would be nice to try a blower on it just to see how it handles it.

@@macfarms I think it'd be fine on a snow blower, they're not a lock up torque converter, so they will allow the ground speed to drop irrespective of engine speed. I don't think we got the 60 here in Australia, majority of MF stuff was UK market in the age

Have a look at the back of the pedals, there should be a latch to lock the two pedals for the brakes together. Nice machine.

Scott, you mentioned adapting attachments, (buckets, forks, grapple) for the loader, maybe adapt the sawdust bucket to fit on the loader you have been using. Dad got a decent project. You hesitated about videoing the 60HX because we were going to pester you with questions on your project tractor!

It would handle the bucket better than the 885 does but I don't think it would have the maneuverability we'd need in the barn.

@@macfarms A skid steer would be the best for in the barn but Super Dave seems to has an aversion to one.

Haha yeah so it seems. I've tried plenty of times over the years to convince him to buy one but nothings worked so far lol

it has a creeper gearbox, so that would slow it down for reverse use

It's coming. Took the cab, wheel centers and a bunch of other parts off for sand blasting hoping to get them back this week. Still waiting on parts from a guy in the UK he seems to be in no rush to make them unfortunately, not much else I can do unless I buy another tractor for parts.
