Great bricklayer but you seem to not be filling some perps full enough with mortar. Water ingress could fill the joints and could freeze and create issues. Quickness is great but proper full beds and perps are important. Your a legend bricklayer though.

When you set that deadman block, was it to avoid sag in the brick line? If so, how do you gauge that if the foundation or block work below you brick course is not perfectly level?

Hello mate, question for you if Pos thinking about Having exposed brickwork inside a barn ( bungalow but large ) gable end looking out vaulted ceiling . So will have black frame windows Black roof and so on .Its solid built but not the best looking so might end up cladding the outside not 100% as of yet . But want to use a stock inside what’s your thoughts would you go with? Reds or yellows or can I mix them or is that not the done thing ??want some with a bit of paint on black and so on . Also, would you do headers over the windows 🤯

Hi, which Kind of mortar Do you use? In Germany is much more cement in there. In England it looks like wet Sand 🤔 Greetings from Germany
@CumbrianMush
@CumbrianMush 9 ай бұрын
For cement based mortars regarding general brickwork the ratio is 4:1 or 5:1... Sand:Cement.
