Footage of the successful counterattack - the latest of several caught on film in a matter of days amid Putin's crumbling invasion - shows a rocket make a direct hit.
Ukraine armed forces social media called it "Coordinated work of soldiers stopped the enemy column in Kyiv region. the Russians drove about three dozen tanks and infantry fighting vehicles to Kyiv, but were ambushed."

This is why you protect tanks with infantry on the flanks, it's very hard to spot enemies from inside a tank, especially when they're hiding in the woods. Go Ukraine 🇺🇦

@Zach Galifianakis Considering how close it is to the left yeah I've no doubt.. Honestly thought it shot from a automated system or something at first. Drones are scary to think about tho each time i watch one of these. Surely all they have to do is hover above you grab the coordinates, and boom.. For me at least that's insane to think about especially when you're sitting inside a tank, I feel like tanks are completely outdated & belong in museums

And you see how the infantry at the back dismounts, and then comes under immediate small arms gunfire, men dropping to the ground. It's not just the front of the column that got ambushed :)

there is a continuation of this video I can send by mail!!! Both tanks were not damaged, although 1 tank caught fire, but he was able to continue the offensive in the future. The tank withstood a hit in the side.. look at this video there is no ending. and the ending would completely show the whole picture. Again they lie to you bro

It was interesting to see how they reacted to getting ambushed. The armoured vehicles could have supplied the dismounted troops some sort of cover but they all seemed to just panick and drive off. I honestly thought that the Russians were better trained than this.

I think it's a Russian tactic. they deliberately use the old soviet defense equipment so that the Ukrainian defense equipment is used up, after Ukraine has minimal defense equipment, the Russians will launch their main attack with their advanced new weapon system.

This video fades out long before the original version does for a reason... The hit vehicle continues forward even as it burns out to give the rest of the column space That trailing bmp takes an impact and still moves to cover it That's where this version ends... Then: The "scattering" dismounts who aren't immobilized, from both vehicles, move to the far side of the road and take up firing positions Two BMPs move to cover them Two of the BMP's light up the area where the AT came from with autocannon Two tanks move up and orient front towards the ambush location They both fire. It's a fairly professional response all things considered. On the flip side, the impacts didn't seem to mobility kills the vehicles or instantly knock the crew out in the initial detonation. Although the tank probably does burn out and have KIA and there is at least one casualty injured enough to be immobilized from the BMP, I'm not sure "chillingly lethal" is the correct term. Also, there are either impacts into the forest as the AT is fired, or it was supposed to be a coordinated ambush and one misfired nearby, or both... Point is though, there is only one group in this engagement that will be combat ineffective as a result and it's not the convoy. That was with semi decent AT too, the shamelessly glorified and advertised idea of throwing molotov's at something like this amounts to nothing more than suicide.

@@goodale1812 Guerilla warfare tactics are effective regarding the big picture i.e., Vietnam war, Afgan Soviet war... the idea isn't that the Ukrainians will knock out the Russians in a day or a week.... the idea is that the Russian Army will never be able to control 40 million people that harass them daily with Molotov cocktails while the Ukrainian military simultaneously makes surprise ambushes. It is important to understand the defensive mindset versus the conqueror mentality. The Ukrainians are protecting their land, their homes, and their families. These engagements might result in individual "suicide", as you put it, but the big picture is where the Ukrainian focus is. In the long run, guerilla warfare is extremely difficult for invaders to contain. It costs a lot of money and blood, thus, in the end, the defenders persist. This Ukraine conflict is no different.

Подождите радоваться! Здесь только часть всего видео. И по факту атаковали смертники, хотя и умело и хладнокровно. По крайней мере, третий танк уже нацеливался на них. Возникают вопросы по тактике наших войск: 0 почему движение колонн осуществляется без наблюдения с дронов самой дороги??? 1 есть ли связь между экипажами? (первый танк - он в каком веке воюет?), 2 отсутствует мгновенное какое-либо подавление предполагаемых вражеских позиций (хотя бы поливать все огнём!), 3 из второго - чего ждут последующие танки и бмп-бтр? (почему нет движения в сторону противника?) Они просто останавливаются и ждут?! Все очень странно... И да, концовку видео в студию!!! А не только то, что выгодно одной стороне.

@@ge2623 The Russian army destroyed the base of foreign mercenaries in 5 minutes. The mercenaries thought they were going for a walk against countries as poorly armed and poorly prepared as Syria, but they met a decisive blow and fled like rats. Be sure that our country has enough non-nuclear weapons to level all the settlements of Ukraine with the ground, but the command decided not to destroy the civilian population, but even to provide humanitarian assistance in the occupied territories. An army that destroys only military personnel and military infrastructure is poorly trained?

man what are talking about, the fact that the convoy went to the opposite embankment is best solution in which the Russians should take. For their infantry they should have search for cover rather than showing their backs in which the ambush is set up.. nonetheless their reaction at the ambush is pretty good.

Yea, it’s sad, a waste of human life. Do Russian soldier killed and bomb civilians? Yes Is every Russian soldier doing that? IDK, I doubt we have an accurate number. I stand by Ukraine side morally, political and humanly. But I wish more people empathize with the unwilling to fight this war. No every army allows their soldier to defy orders like the US allows. And surrender? Not every combat situation allows for surrender, like the one we saw above.

@@232Invoker The US military doesn’t “allow” you to disobey orders. You have a duty to disobey illegal orders, but you’ll most likely still be court-martialed. You may be pardoned or have the conviction overturned if the order is later determined to have been illegal. If you obey them, both you and the person issuing the orders will be charged. You won’t be summarily shot by your commander, though.

But you all should not forget, that this is NO video game this is real...and the little black dots are humans, that are getting killed and they are sons of mothers that don’t know where and why their sons are killed...! This is exactly the wrong response to an ambush and shows how poorly trained the Russian soldiers are. The vehicles turned and ran basically for the nearest cover, making themselves vulnerable. What they should have done is turn towards the ambush to present their thickest armour and begin returning fire and either drive towards them and overrun the ambush or reverse back while maintaining fire. The rear vehicles just stopped, they should have begun immediate suppressive fire on the ambush while taking a position to continue this. Not to mention the fact that they were travelling in an "admin" formation, which assumes there is no enemy about and is used to move around in safe areas which obviously this wasn't plus they had all their turrets pointing forward, instead of facing in different directions so that at least one vehicle can return fire instantly in any direction.

What...? I am against the Russian invasion but this specific convoy's reaction to contact was actually quite good. If you watch the remainder of this clip (there is an additional 30 seconds or so) the reason you see the IFVs (Infantry Fighting Vehicles) turn away from the AT (Anti-tank) team is that they are carrying dismounts who aren't meant to be in a vehicle during contact. When an IFV receives contact the personnel it carries is meant to dismount if possible to avoid them possibly dying or being injured with the crew. In addition, with the time in the cut clip, you can see two T-72s provide covering fire for the maneuvering IFVs and the dismounted personnel moving to cover. As previously stated, I am against this invasion and am all for Ukraine, but this specific column reacted to contact with good pacing and returned fire in good order. The reason I go on this tangent is that with all this information flooding I think it is important to understand TTPs and doctrine so we can really understand what is and isn't happening. As for this Ukrainian AT team, it is incredibly brave to be this close attacking a column of that size and the Ukrainian ground forces show continuously they will do whatever it takes to destroy Russian forces.

I've heard from one credible source that pictures of a civilian massacre propagated by nationalist Ukrainians on separatist civilians were later used as 'evidence' of Russian atrocities in the current conflict. I'm not saying that atrocities on Ukrainians aren't going on, but we don't know the extent of it. There are no good sources. The fog of war is thick.

Same when soldiers use hospitals and schools as bunkers, they get shot at in war, just look at any and all modern conflict zones. Women, children, and the elderly should be evacuated. Of couse they were some more Ukrainian fighters on the scene...: if you look closer, you can see two more AT-weapons fired just befor the successfull NLAW. One maybe RPG fired two or three seconds earlier missing the target....: only the small cloud of the shot is visible above the position of the NLAW-shooter. A second maybe also RPG hits the trees left of the street...: the impact and a small black cloud is visible just bevor the NLAW shoots. And the original videoclip is a few seconds longer...: as two tanks began to fire at the Ukrainian Positions, one more AT-weapon was fired at one of the tanks, but with no major damage.

Never ceases to amaze me how fast those small missiles get in such an extreme short distance. Fast enough for the penetrating tip to pass through the tank and embed itself in the dirt on the opposite side of the road. It was spinning as it hit the dirt, but it still penetrated the ground. lol

It’s possible that it missed and the major explosion was the defense systems going off. What’s really sad is that people us this as an example of Ukraine winning. When the whole video actually is a major defeat because the tanks at the rear start blasting the soldiers and the Russian forces in cover. They probably didn’t even destroy the tank.

The AT4 Warhead is armed after 60meters, The NLAW or robot 57 as we call it in Sweden is armed after 20 or 100 meters, this can be set before opening fire. The NLAW also got two attackmodes, DA (Direct Attack) or DOA (Direct Overflow Attack)

Never underestimate the militia and the volunteers into helping their county remain safe from the russian invaders. Untrained soldiers are often more deadlier than a trained soldier strictly because they have nothing to lose for their fight for freedom. Put a gun in a person's hand for the first time, and you have a highly motivated killing machine who's willing to do what it takes to keep their families safe. Putin never realized until now that intimidation through use of force no longer works as it did during the cold war. Today's younger generation sees it as a great opportunity and with the proliferation through the uses of gaming in real time now have more choices to stave off putin's front lines. Like Kyiv when the front pulled back because of the intense amount of fighting between the russian soldiers and their untrained counterparts. The russian soldiers couldn't come up with a game plan because the Ukrainian citizens planned well ahead and used their ideas that is unorthodox and is not in the military handbooks or manuals. The only thing that is keeping putin from pulling out the big guns is the peace accords set up during the eighties which allows both sides to use equal amount of force to keep it balanced. Tanks, machine guns, hand to hand combat, and other forms of military might is allowed. But, if putin decided to use something more radical such as nuclear deterrents then his position would be in question and would ultimately result in his expulsion from office or executed. Never underestimate the underdog. The militia is more effective on producing a better outcome that a highly trained soldier who only knows how to take orders.

The lead tank isn't supposed to stop.. the idea for being ambushed in a convey is to push through the kill zone, where the first 2 vics got hit and then bound back to help with part of the element (Because if you have disorganized actions where some vics stop and some try to push out of the line of fire then you start running into each other and making the situation worse. However more than likely though the lead tank probably didnt even know they were attacked... i wouldnt doubt it unless the crew commander turned around and saw the action

@@user-ss8kg5ch5i здесь недалеко постят ролик, как пожилую бабушку поимел русский солдат, на полном патетическом серьёзе, я чуть не упал с дивана от смеха. А они верят, я написал там свои подозрения, что это похоже фейк. Напрасно. Я здесь две недели, как параноик, прыгаю по разным каналам и видео и смотрю и слушаю разных специалистов по пяти российским телеканалам и сравниваю. У меня расщепление мозга от сравнения, белое называется чёрным, чёрное - белым, какое-то кривое зеркало между нами. Недавно попал в коммент одного ролика, ну там такие махровые парни постятся, мама не горюй, похоже канадские украинцы, как-будто находишься в штабе нацистов, которые обсуждают будущую операцию, виды вооружений, которые Европа должна поставить, их тактические возможности, количество, весну, грязь на дорогах, пройдут ли танки, как надо действовать, чтобы одержать победу, какие-то бывшие военные обсуждают военные стратегии, волосы дыбом встают. И там один забавный пост я специально выписал в блокнот: 5 реактивных бомбардировщиков и мы могли бы уничтожить 8-ми мильный русский конвой за 15 минут. Мне 80 лет. Ну, чего мы ждём? Я последний живой человек? Хеллоу, есть кто? Я раньше никак не мог в понять, в чем фокус. И вчера в ТВ услышал, что сказал, западный журналист, посетив в группе других журналистов, Мелитополь: нам показывают картинки, а не что происходит. Я потрясён точностью его формулировки разницы в подаче информации на Западе и в России! И это имеет значение. Пока!

@@bobbobov4574, и Первая и Вторая Мировая война были бизнес-проектами США . Они же оказались по сути единственными бенифициарами этих затей. И это конечно не случайно. Сейчас началась Третья - задача Штатов сохранения своего господства = своего благополучия построенного за счет всех остальных. Здесь Украина расходный материал, тактическая цель Россия, стратегическая Китай и далее по всем остановкам. Поражает самоубийственная подчиненность Европы, которая живет по принципу - выколю себе глаз - пусть у моей тещи будет зять кривой.

Теперь я, поняв чем здесь кормят публику, буду постить тупо последние свежие новости "от советского информбюро"))). Вы не знаете, здесь можно постить ссылки, как росс. солдаты ночуют, в каких странах доблестные амер. солдаты насиловали женщин?
