I remember watching Adam Sessler absolutely destroy Jack Thompson on Attack of the Show. It was beautiful. Also, still waiting on that enormous spike in violent crime nationwide that GTA and Bully were supposed to generate.

The stigma that gamers don't have a life is bullshit. Don't listen to people who claim you don't have a life because you play video games instead of going to the gym 5+ hours a day. As long as playing video games doesn't dominate your entire life, there is nothing wrong with playing video games... even WoW, and even that is one of the most social games out there.

There always has been a hate on video games for some reason that is unfathomable to me. I don't see how people can shit on someone engaging their brain for a few hours and getting their mind off work/relationships or w.e as a healthy outlet. Then 5 minutes later that same person complaining about games goes and watches a movie or tv series.

NightKnight tbh the cloud feature that Xbox introduced wasn't the problem. Their main problem is that they are losing their licenses for a lot big name titles and their exclusives aren't matching up with either two of the competitors (Nintendo PlayStation) also they have really bad servers across the majority of their titles. I love Xbox but the 360 era had the crown

Sony Wrecked Microsoft that E3 and the funny part too was they showed a video on how to share games with a friend and showed Adam Boyes and Shuhei Yoshida Passing a Game from one to another. LOL that was Jack Tretton's last E3 before he left Sony. he damn well left on a High Note !

king, another problem was the fact that the Connect had to always be on. The timing for that announcement was bad, as a certain agency in the US was accused of spying on civilians some time before the conference.

How about Dead Rising 4 is only 7 hours long.And the real ending is locked behind a paywall.They took out more things then they put in.Yet all media outlets reviewed the game positive.Talk about corrupt marketing.While user ratings are mostly negative.

Jake Bryant GameSpot was paid off by Eidos; the producers of Kane and Lynch Deadmen to receive positive reviews and Jeff gave the game a 6/10. This review got him fired from GameSpot and led to the creation of Giant Bomb.

Konami, just Konami should have been number 1. Everything they've done this year was terrible, and a brutal shot to the face to consumers and their IP's. I have never seen a company trash all their properties and employees with such disrespect and neglect (sans maybe Atari). We really need a new renaissance of gaming with these newly formed development teams, and the kickstarter ones that are actually successful(also, can confirm, the new Shantae is really good!)

There is actually a rumor that Kojima used funds intended for MGS5 to create PT via an outsourced 3rd party developer without Konami's knowledge or consent for the purpose of having them fire him so he'd be free to sign a contract with Sony (which he did). I don't vouch for Konami in the slightest after what they did to Igarashi of Castlevania fame, but you have to admit, if true, that is shady as hell and they had every right to do what they did.

Jeff Gertsmann was such a dynamic video game reviewer. His passion for games is clearly seen through his straightforward criticisms. Every single game he reviewed back in the early 2000s were spot on. I really enjoyed his antics towards bad games and it gave me the idea to not buy them and waste my money.

@@duartealmeida8479 You are completely wrong. There has been a lot of open discussion about what goes on, and even Jeff has completely squashed this idea that it happens in gaming media. Game reviews can be honest, any site can buy a game for $50 and review it, and sell it fast for little loss. Of course publishers sometimes dont send review copies, because they dont want reviews out before release knowing their game sucks. But all companies can ever do to get better scores is butter up reviewers. Yes they can 'treat' editors to press days out, pay for nice meals and nice hotels, have goofy events, and then sit down to play a 1 hour preview of some shitty golf game. And if you choose to give it a low score, you might not get those invites ever again. But there is no cash hidden in game cases, no paid exclusives to get the day 1 review. You can say what you want and you get your code/copy in the mail the same time as everyone else if you are on the reviewer list. This isnt like tech review sites, where you need a $5000 TV or computer 2 weeks before release to get a day 1 review. Because this is where the real bullshit happens. Everyone is slave to brands like samsung, LG, apple etc because its impossible to be independent and review expensive tech products for a living. There is NEVER A BAD TV REVIEW for a big brand. EVERYTHING gets 4 or 5 stars and the most minimal criticism. You have to kiss tech companies asses for review samples, and they black list you instantly once you give out negative reviews.

I love how people want someone else to put a lot of time and effort into a mod and then have it given to them for free and the very thought of the modder getting rewarded for their efforts throws them into a temper tantrum. I think the system could have worked but the split was not nearly enough in favor of the modder and put the halt on any future possibilities.

10) Why Bully is on the list... and Jack Thompson? Seriously? 9) Ah yes... Digital Homicide. I know all about it thanks to Jim Fucking Sterling Son. I want my JFSS shirt dammit. 8) What?! Fucking really. Not worth it. 7) It's this policy that sent Don Mattingly packing from Xbox and into ZYNGA. It's that one thing that convinced me to get a PS4. I don't regret my decision... until my brother got an Xbox One years later. 6) Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail. Nintendo is just too stubborn because they don't want the free advertising. They want to take their cut. It's a good thing I'm a Managed partner. Trust me. 5) That was a massive controversy. Massive controversy because Warner Bros. kind of fucked up. Shadow of Mordor is a very good game. It's that WB really fucked up badly. 4) This game got botched. It was botched considerably. 3) Oh the CS:GO Lotto... oh man that shit was nuts. Majorly nuts. 2) I felt bad for Gerstmann when he got fired from GameSpot. The guy was brutally honest when it came to reviewing Kane & Lynch 2. And the whole thing was so bad that many people left GameSpot as a result. I wish Gerstmann all the best. On-Disc DLC for SFxT... literally killed the game for me. Even when they released it eventually the damage was done. The Mountain Dew Game Jam... oh that was a mess. Ubisoft kind of screwed the pooch... funny how it was rebranded and retitled from the Driver series. 1) Long live Kojima and #FuckKonami. MGSV was a great game but it got screwed over due to Konami's BS. There is a good thing out of all this... he did get his award and what an award that was!

I was so upset I couldn't play the game because I have an Xbox One, and one of my favorite actors - Mads Mikkelsen - is also involved in it. But now I'm getting a PS4 to play (while keeping my other console), and I can't wait to get that game after I watched the E3 trailer.

People are taking Bully way too seriously. When I play it I think of it as being more of a simulator game where you're able to do anything you want in school that you wouldn't normally be able to do it real life. Like imagine you dislike going to work and thought "Wouldn't it be fun to create game where you're able to go to work but have the choice to do anything you want? Whether it be jumping on desks or kicking your boss in the balls?" In retrospect the game would be viewed as encouraging procrastination during work and promoting violence since you're allowed to him someone.

The greatest thing about the whole XBONE drm thing was the fact that when at that Sony press conference that dude said that PS4s don't need to be online to play games, while everyone was cheering he slipped in that playing online would no longer be free and NO ONE seemed to notice .

As far as DLC goes, when it comes to games like "Capcom Vs," you can spend time unlocking everything normally (Beat Arcade Mode, etc.), or you can purchase all of the unlockables and extra content in one fell swoop if you can't be bothered with doing all that work. No one said you *had* to unlock something [that's available for free on the disc] by paying for an optional unlock with money.
