@@saint-jiub Really there is no difference except in economic model. Economic fascism is a regulatory state, a so-called "mixed" economy. But culturally, socialism and fascism are the same thing: the abandonment of liberal individual moral responsibility in exchange for totalitarian state control.

@chadjones4255 3 жыл бұрын
@@saint-jiub Sure, that's the economic model. Economically a mixed (fascist) economy is a big improvement over socialism (at least the trains run on time). But culturally, they are both totalitarian state-worshipping collectivist nightmares. They are sisters -- closely related secular religions of the 20th century. Definitely not opposites. The opposite of godless tyranny is not similar type of godless tyranny. Hitler and Mussolini believed they were at the cutting edge of socialism. Fascism is a tweak on socialism, not an opposite idea.

When the socialists take over, travel restrictions are inevitable. There are several Latin American countries that make good candidates. There is risk, of course, as well as tradeoffs, in any choice of anything. But the way I see it, the west is doomed in short order. At least in Latin America, I believe we'll have a better chance at freedom and relative security for a little while longer than we will in ANY western country. Good luck getting anywhere in Fortress Europa. EU is closed to the outside world unless you have huge amounts of money for the limited flights and the mandatory quarantine on arrival. Here in Poland, the immigration office isn't even working, so no way to get a long term stay. But on the other hand, we expats with permits have an unlimited extension until they declare no more epidemic state which could be forever. So far all things considered, it's not a bad country to be stuck in, especially in a smaller town. But eventually I will probably go home to the US, if I can afford it, and if it's not some kind of nightmare scenario for the country.

Those police where I am do this on a regular basis to terrorize the populace. They've also made it illegal to own any form of projectile based self defense here to for everyone. That is of course unless you are a corruption enforcement officer or a hired thug for the elites. They've sent about 1/3rd of the entire small towns populace to concentration camps already. This is likely just a test to be implemented on a much broader scale eventually. Not to mention the entire economics system here is one giant ponzi scheme. I have asked to some of them, why they want other citizenship. The answers are almost the same cost of living and services are cheaper, they can afford for private driver, a housekeeper, a baby sitter, large property (South Korea does not have vast land). They will not get these luxuries if they still live and work in South Korea.

Hearing Andrew talk about "not having a passport to travel", the situation in China totally resonates: Since the pandemic started, the government has made it extremely difficult to apply or renew passports. Actually many people that I know have tried to renew their passports, but the government officers shut them down. So basically for those who happened to renew their passports before the pandemic they got the luck, but for others, too bad. Having options at this critical time is so important, and that comes from careful planning and executions of plan B/C/..

In Germany they tax you no matter where you live as long as you own or have rented a residence in the country, even if you're not living there. Not just that, if you're living in Germany, all your global income is considered to be taxable in Germany. In case you own property in Germany and your kids inherit it (although you've bought and paid it off from your post tax net income) there's a large inheritance tax. Same with "gifts". So technically, very difficult to gift your assets to your children without a tax liability. One of the most stern tax regimes. I am about to click "Become a client" with NC.

I started as a cleaner and farm labourer, just over 18 months later got on the HSMP (highly skilled migrant program), worked my way up to trade floor analyst at Canary wharf bank. My two years working holiday didnt count towards permanent residency. i had to start from scratch, eventually took 8 years from arriving until inhad UK passport. During times when I was out of work I never ever claimed benefits, I always lived from my ‘out of work fund’. To me UK was (is) the land of opportunities. There is plenty of work and opportunity for those that want to make a difference (or start their own business). Me and wife had a very good lifestyle , lovely apartment in Dulwich. Life was good. No worries about criminals. I met my wife while I was in London, she was very upset to leave. Because of the short lived economic boom in SA, other people i know returned. My wife was pregnant with our first daughter, and we where living in a one bedroom apartment I thought we could have a better living standard. So we returned. Three daughters and 10 years later we are still in Ellisras (Limpopo). British passports for all three my daughters. We live in an Afrikaans speaking community, my kids are in Afrikaans language school, my wife is now fluent in Afrikaans as well. My kids are also fluent native Russian speakers. Kids learn English at school, at home kids speak Afrikaans to me, and Russian between kids and mom. My wife enjoy lifestyle here, she is a stay at home mom. Yesterday it was 41 Celsius, she loves the heat. I love cold 🥶 We live outside a very remote rural town on a farm outside town. Yes, we are considering to emigrate but are stuck and can’t afford to leave. Glad I found Nomad Capitalist otherwise would never have known about alternatives to the usual US, UK, NZ, Aus, NL emigration destinations. I make videos about what I do for a living, tap on my name for my KZfaq channel and my phone number is in every video. You are welcome to send me a Whatsap message. Are you in South Africa, what is your experience like? Wishing you a happy day :)

@ That is quite the story, Grove. There is definitely a lot I can relate to, not the least of which is my heavy Afrikaans accent, which is enough to make any Brit's ears bleed. I was busy emigrating to a neighbouring state, but had to prolong my stay in South Africa due to lockdown. All the best for you and your family!

I felt a sense of calm that I hadn't felt in a long time not being in the States. We've seen US citizenship renunciations shoot up 1200% in Jan-Jun 2020 compared to the last six month period. Glad I got my passport some time ago, good 'til '26!

Thank you for posting. I agree things will get touch ahead..you mentioned Spain (lived there for two years) and now the nation is in bankcrupcy and lives on ECB loans. New US banking bill be voted into law 25th Jan 2021 and will introduce digi dollar adn ECP will follow - look there news bulletin on 2nd Oct 2020. Covid has closed most of western europe and borders too and even so there are limited flights available so movement is restricted but on the long haul I believe that euro € will cease and national currencies will return. Also glad that you mentioned passports - in my country they have limited its due date from 10 to only 5 years !

I am so so glad to listen to your « points of view « .;.for years I have been living in NZ; Oz, Vanuatu , New Caledonia, Belgium, Luxembourg and different places in france, now in Florida.;.and all my « sedentary friends » believe I am unstable.;..well, I am not wealthy, though I have enough to live.. leave...and educate myself.;.again and again...I have that feeling /need, of feeling open doors...my grandson is not 1 yet, he already has 2 passports (and I am working on my daughters nerve for him to have a 3rd one.;. I finally found a KZfaq channel with an opened vision and a lot of objectivity.;. My next country will probably be Mexico.. thank you for all your sharings...
