Awesome video! That is a very clean and attractive duct tape fletch, nice work. Even in the standard color the fletching compliments the wood arrow nicely. Good job with the arrow rest as well.

Terry, I am doing my fletching with your method, which is excellent, with one additional step: I put a small rectangular piece of transparency film (the ones used some years ago to print presentations on them and present them with a transparency projector) inside the folding of the tape so when I cut the “feather” it is stiffer. It makes them better and last longer. Hope this helps. Fico

Makes sense, thanks to you I won't be spending much on arrows anymore. It's nice to save money, I'm 22 years young and hoping to make this a lifelong hobby, so every penny counts. Thanks again Terry.

Great video, Terry. You and Nick have started a Bowyer Rensissance within the DIY community. Thank you.

I tried this method and it worked great! One variation I made which made it even easier was as follows: After folding each piece of tape, instead of drawing the shape with a template, I just folded at the pieces and stuck then one to the other in a perfectly aligned stack. Then I just cut all three at once without needing a template since they all come out identical anyway.

I partially agree with you there. I don't like how you called out the younger generation basically saying all we listen to is bad rap music. Sure most of us do or atleast have one that we like, such as myself. But even then I mostly listen to better songs with meaning. Plus, music can help calm people down. Today I watched a video about someone making an English longbow but he didn't talk and there was just relaxing nature sounds and soft music. I'll be honest, I fell asleep watching it, not because it was boring but because of how peaceful it was. I am not saying what you said is outright wrong because you are entitled to your own opinion and I can't judge you for that. I hope you don't take this the wrong way because most people don't like a 13 year old telling them off like he's 31.

Great presentation Terry. You take your time and explain things as you go along. I see where there are a few posters "getting into bow & arrow" these days and some of the plder posts as well. Hopefully they don't end up with 7 bows and over 200 arrows, 2 hard cases, triggers, 3 finger gloves, oh man, the list goes on and on.. The best thing about bow and arrows is they're quiet.. You can take out a bad guy or hunt with it almost as well as you can with a decent rifle. I think the image of your buddy grabbing the arrow shaft and trying to pull it out of his chest is more terrifying then seeing that he took a shot from a rifle and you can patch it up.. Ohh, and with the rifle, they know where you're at.. A decent bow, not so much.. I can also shoot my bows right outside my shop in my backyard in the middle of a neighborhood and nobody even knows I'm out there. Try doing that with a .357 magnum pistol..

First, not the best way, he touched the adhesive side of the tape, reducing the stickiness of it Secondly, that's not the name for the "electricians tape" but isolating tape, or isolation tape would be the name for what he used ( here I could prove the point by the fact that I'm an electrician, and we dont use only one type of tape) And that in the first few minutes of the video
