I love watching your videos! My husband and I are starting the process to adopt through foster care in New Hampshire. I was hooked on having a child under the age of four, but then in this video, Jared said something like “ don’t worry about the age”. That really hit home for me. I know my child or children are out there and I can’t determine what stage of life they’ll be in when we fund each other. thank you for the wisdom and all the information you’ve given us. We modelled our own rule book for foster care after yours and a few others we saw online. I always thought it was great. The video was so informative and I felt like it was clear that everything in it was handled on a case by case scenario.

Ive had IC for over a decade now and bladder instillations (there are different types) worked to settle mine, I have an odd flare but the treatment has given me my life back. Worth considering.

A tip for future anniversaries is to tie it to an event that happened around that time (or before or after), like Landon's birth. On the contrary this is how I remember when my mother-in-law passed away: about a year before my daughter was born. About the difficulty of having one-on-one time with those who've moved out: isn't the point of moving out to give them time to learn how to be independent? Daily calls can be done if they feel the need, which is most likely to happen in the beginning. But physical daily time shouldn't be a must. Maybe weekly or bi-weekly. It should come from the kids and not from us. They know we love them and can come over whenever they want.

I have ic going on 9 years now!! I’ve had every medicine you can think of if one doesn’t help try another! I’ve also had my bladder stretched a couple times that’s helped me so so much also stay away from artificial sugars that aspartame!!

Shelly I had intercystic cystitis 30 years ago. I had surgery followed by treatment, a Dr told me to put a tsp of honey in hot water and drink it first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Don't eat or drink anything for 30 mins afterwards, so it's the first thing you drink, within 2 weeks it had gone and thankfully it rarely reoccurs and a few weeks going back on the honey and it's gone again x

I’m getting my 2 box of every plate tomorrow. So far I’m loving the meals.

I'm from the UK and me and my partner are looking into becoming foster parents after we get married next year, it's something I've always wanted to do and since having fertility issues and miscarrying a couple of times now I know I'm ready to give kids a happy loving home x

It's okay to be inactive, as long as you still have a testimony and your faith. That was what my Bishop told me forever and a day ago. I’m a fellow I.c. sufferer, diagnosed about 30 years ago. My urologist said that the symptoms typically plateau about 5 years after diagnosis, but that wasn’t the case for me. For years, the one to two weeks preceding a period tended to be the worst. In my case, it’s not so much painful as an unrelenting feeling of urgently needing to relieve myself. Then when I get to the restroom, there’s hardly any urine released. It’s a very frustrating condition to have. Imagine trying to concentrate on a task or fall asleep when it feels like you’re dying to get to the loo! Many nights I’ve gone to the restroom every 45 minutes or so. I’ve had medication put directly into my bladder via a catheter and had my bladder hydro-distended with no results. I wish you luck in dealing with the condition.

My older sister was from my Mother's first marriage. My Dad wanted to adopt her and did. However, in Maryland, in the 1950's, my Mother also had to adopt her own daughter because my Mother changed her last name. It did not make sense, but, they both adopted her. My sister alwsys said Daddy wasvthe best thing that ever happend to them.

I was diagnosed with IC in my 20s in 1985. You are correct there is no cure. I can generally control my IC by not eating certain foods. I have not eaten dark chocolates since 1985. I occasionally have white chocolate. Sorry to say the older I have gotten the longer the list of no eats has gotten. No dark sodas, cut back on caffeine drinks, limit citrus, try and avoid artificial sweetness, NO MSG, no adult drinks or wine. I promise you can learn to live without certain foods. It just takes time.

Great vlog....l too suffer from interstitial cystitis and painful bladder syndrome. And manage them both through diet. Keep well

We did foster care, our family counselor told us to write down the family rules on a big poster board and write down the coin consequences if they didn’t do it it was important for the kids to see it and know that there would be consequences if something didn’t happen.
