I have been asked a few times recently as to whether I run the Weekly Challenges each week and if I do, why. In this video, I answer that question and I run through completing this weeks Weekly Challenges and I also talk how I got about them and why.

My online name is Mitchell Morgan and this is my Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5) Gran Turismo 7 based channel, going under the name of PlayStation Racer. I love racing on motor racing sim games and Gran Turismo has been my favorite for many years. I have been playing GT7 since it was released on my other profile, but this is a complete rerun on my new profile for my new PlayStation Racer channel and my new team Mitchell Morgan Racing. As this channel develops, I plan to try my hand at other motor racing games and those will also feature from time to time.
On this channel I will be touching on nearly all of the elements of GT7 gameplay, sharing my hints, tips and experiences with my audience as I play through the game from start to finish.

I mostly just do them for the Special Race and to check all of the circles. It messes with my head when I log on and they are blank and just asking to be filled.

I enjoy them, tend to pick random cars i don't normally drive and use the manual shifter/clutch. You only need to get 3rd so i don't care if i win.

Me to. That is why I host my lobbies each weekday evening. It is so nice to get out in different cars and do different types of races. We were in the 1989 BMW M3 on Friday night at numerous different tracks and it was a blast.

I love the weekly challenges but there should be a penalty system too.

Well worth it, I do it every week, it's around an hour of my time for 800k gold and a ticker or two potentially giving u more gold or free cars. I speedrun them with OP cars.

I have had one or two nice cars out of this, which is always nice. But, I prefer Sardegna for griding credits. It think that PD need to double the payout to bring these into line with the griding tracks. Then people will do them more often and I think that they are a great addition to the game and get people into different cars and doing different things. Long may these continue.

Nice video. These are an incentive for me to try and build cars for the types of races they are. The longer ones are good for strategy ideas and to try different ones. I don't like fuel saving, so i work out the middle distance in the race and pit once. There should be more of these each week, and new events that we haven't had before.. Anyway, it's all do for easy credits and tickets, so it's a no brainer to do really.

I really liked the races with strategy. Some are just way too easy with engine swapped or over PP cars, but the PP limited ones sort that out. I get more hits on those strategy videos than any other.

There are easier and quicker ways to grind for credits though. This for me is more of a case of checking off the races.

I guess I do these for the money but it also gives me a chance to bring out cars that I haven't used in a while. It's fun to exploit the "suggested PP" limit

I stopped those a long time ago... I know it's easy money, but by spending time on those, I was also hoping to gain skills too but I doubt i gain any lol

I have found that racing against the AI actually hurts your skills. I have had to learnt o race all over again when I go online. That said, I do now try to race these without much care, or thinking, or trying to learn anything.

@@playstationracer67 some races the ai is pretty good. They''ll go side by side into corners, outbrake you and make the mistakes if you put them on aline that's too narrow, like humans do. By using a slightly detuned car for the PP make the ai racing better, it's not great, better than online lobbies most of the time though 🙂

Very true, but it was a fun challenge and I'd like to see PD include these races more in the challenges. It is a nice chance to race unusual cars and not Gr. based cars all of the time. It is why I host my own lobbies now, so that we can all enjoy different types of cars in close racing.

Great vid, but like you say, this is not the best credit grind in the game. The rewards need to be double, given the time needed.

Mostly WTC at Sardegna these days because it tends to pay better for me. But you can also grind the WTC races at LE Mans and Tokyo for some good credits. I should have videos on my two grinding tracks on my channel with details of the cars and how I go about them.
