Hey Karen....I wrote to Ravensburger this week to see what's happening with your puzzle in Europe and sad news is they replied today to say they have no plans to release it in the UK/Europe 😥😥 but will pass on my interest to their marketing dept 😯😥 Looks like we'll have to try to source one from the US 🇺🇸

Dear Karen, as a German I will say: It is perfectly fine to have an English or American English pronounciation of "Ravensburger" or "Ravensburg". We Germans have our pronounciations of some English names (or names in any other language) as well. I will also say that, because it would not only be about the pronounciation of the "Raven", but also about the "burger", which we in Germany would more likely pronounce "boorgar" (which is probably a very bad transcription itself). "Ravensburger" sounds fine (and is much better than some other English pronounciations of German brand names - looking at you, "Porsch" 😄). If you have the chance one day to come over to Europe and maybe visit Ravensburger's headquarters in Germany, let them teach you a German pronounciation, if you like, but for the moment, just stop worrying!

I would totally order your puzzle in either 1500 or 1000 pieces -- anything larger and my family would become much less tolerant of my puzzling. BIG puzzle, small apartment = family rebellion.

Oh my that's exactly my problem lol if I can't do it on one weekend (which means 1500 pieces max, 2000 is a bit too long for it 😭) we usually have to discuss when they are willing to let me use our dinning table bc as I have work I have to wait for the national holidays (but of course they prefer if I can finish it in a few hours, so 1000 is my favorite size)

Hey Karen, I'm from Germany and I don't mind your english pronounciation of Ravensburger. But please note, that the different pronounciation is not just in the a (you already did a great job here), but also in the u :D The u in burger sounds more like the oo in tool for example ^^ Looking forward to buying your puzzle in Germany next year!

Karen! You’re killing it! I preordered one for myself, and another for a friend I’m visiting over Thanksgiving. I can’t wait to hold the box in my hands and like run my hand through all the colorful pieces. Do you ever have the urge to hug Ravensburger boxes when you see them? Every time I walk by one I have this strong urge to pick it and hug it. Anyway, congrats, thanks for sharing, and keep up the awesome work!

I'll get this (and hopefully the smaller 1000 piece version) next year through the Ravensburger homepage. Your pronunciation is natural to the English tongue, so that's all right for sure. Being Swiss, I know the correct pronunciation to be "Ravensburger". The "u" is pronounced much like the "oo" in "mood", but as a single letter not a double. The "A" is much like you did it, though pronunced like 1.5 letters long: A bit drawn out, but only a little bit. Another reason for me not buying off of Amazon at this time is the simple fact that I need to buy a bigger table first, which I'm planning anyway so that I can solve my 1500 piece puzzles or build the bigger plastic brick sets such as the Cobi ships or the BlueBrixx display models.

I am so thrilled for you. I purchased the Krypt Gradient Pastel puzzle while I was waiting for your pre-order link to work. I got it and finished it. It is truly beautiful and easier to solve than I had anticipated. It made me a little nervous to begin with. I am now working on a 2,000 piece puzzle to practice larger puzzle solving. I don't have the space to solve puzzles fully, so I have a set of trays that I use (much like your boards). I can't wait to get your puzzle. I am really so excited for you. Congratulations.

So excited to hear that Ravensburger will be including this as part of their wholesale catalog. My preference is to support small businesses when possible so I will be keeping my eyes out for it in the new year! Also wanted to say how awesome Playgroup puzzles are. I have their 1000 piece circle gradient and the 100 piece kid's puzzle. They are beautiful puzzles and so satisfying to put together. I absolutely love the kid's puzzle and how it shows the relation between different colours. The pieces are quality and the piece cut is unique, so no problem with false fits!

That puzzle is so you - and I mean that in the best possible way. I say Rahvensboorger, because I live in Germany. In fact Ravensburger is a leading producer of wooden and high-quality toys and puzzles for small children, so we bought a lot of their stuff when my kids were young. At the time I didn’t even know they do adult jigsaws too. And it was a Ravensburger puzzle that got me watching your channel: someone bought me a beautiful puzzle of the Berlin skyline, but it had a lot of dark blue sky, so I googled tips on how to do monochromatic/gradient puzzles and found the video where you give tips on that. Been watching ever since!

I preordered the puzzle. I love how it is so colorful. Can’t wait to put it together. I live in a small townhome where I don’t have a lot of space to do big puzzles. The biggest I can do is 1000 pieces on my living room table so I haven’t done any puzzles larger than 1000 pieces. Thanks for showing us how to do the puzzle in small spaces. Will have to buy some foam boards and try the 4 foam board method. My townhome has carpet so I will have to make a big enough foam board to put the entire puzzle on it to be able to see the whole completed puzzle.

I have been playing Ravensburger board games for decades, and have interacted with hundreds of board game enthusiasts in that time, and this is the first time I've heard it pronounced other than the way you normally pronounce it. I'm happy to see you got at least one response from a German saying it's okay to say it that way. In English, we have a bird called a raven and a food item called a burger, so it makes sense that we would pronounce the company name as those two things smashed together.

I can't wait to get one of my own -- is it 2023 yet??? I love that it's 3000 pieces 'cuz that means I'll get to spend a lot of time solving it! I'm so glad you teamed up with Ravensburger 'cuz they are my favourite puzzle company at this point, but you're right about all their puzzle dust LOL! I usually shuffle the pieces between the box top and bottom a few times to try and get rid of some of the dust, but that colander idea is an excellent one. I was literally adding it to my list as you were adding to your cart 😝 K, now is it 2023???🤣

The thing with Play Group puzzles is that, in spite of supposedly being manufactured in Europe, they have been unavailable for purchase here for months now. So it's not that I don't want to give them love, but they apparently don't want any from Europeans. I do hope the online shop where I usually get puzzles has yours next year, it looks super fun.
