Congratulations on getting your content out where it belongs! I imagine many people have gotten the gardening bug thanks to your information and pleasant vibe. I've been a container gardener forever and only got a proper growing space in the middle of last summer. This season I have done a ton of work to set me up for years of future gardening success. Water barrel, hot composter, raised beds, fertilizer tea, and even my very first fruit tree (plum), and berry bush (blackberries). I can finally grow things for beauty and not only for usefulness. Thank you for your excellent content.

If you tend to overwater, picture the roots in the soil. When you water the soil fills with water pushing out the oxygen. As the soil dries down much need oxygen fills the space again and the plant flourishes. Visualization really helps.

For the person who hurt their back: ELEVATED RAISED BEDS! That's what I'm using. They're not as deep, so you have to consider that, but if you have herniated discs or anything along those lines, you can still grow things. Mine are about 12". There are kits available online since it's super hard to use tools when you can barely move 😅

They should do fine wither way with the overall goal of keeping them close together. What I mean by that is that you don't want to plant in a straight line as that will lead to bad pollination. If you plant them in a block the pollination chances are higher leading to full corn cobs.

Congrats, Jacques! You'll be doing your next ??? vid sooner than later with 182k subscribers now! This one was particularly helpful. Last year I had pretty good results in my 9b area starting seeds outdoors (I haven't been able to figure out a way to do it in my house earlier indoors). This year, however, has been dismal.Much cooler temps coupled with too many gray days. Lots of non-germination including those dang cornflowers. Lots of stunts as well. Will take your advice & repot my stunts. I feel so far behind, but trying to make lemonade out of lemons, at least I have a long growing season!. Appreciate all your videos........many thanks!

Sunflowers (my favourite) ~ I've had success soaking them for 12 to 24 hours. If not direct sowing, planting seed in a tall 2.5x2.5x10-15cm (1"x 1"x 4-6") seedling pots. I originally got mine from a re-gen native habitat group; tall and skinny with holding frame, also great for seedlings with vigorous tape roots

I like your poppies! We have a strain of pink peony poppies that keeps reseeding. They started from a single small, sad flower that I didn't even notice until I saw the little seed pod. The next year there was another larger flower. Then there were several good sized flowers. They keep getting bigger and more vigorous every year. This year there's a whole patch of them in a planter. Their flower buds just popped out within the last few days, so they'll be blooming pretty soon.
