All they had to do was look at Alex and name the call! Props to Dalton for getting the futbol questions right. I thought the relegation question would trip them up for sure. Okay, I’m a former Jeopardy! contestant, and I want to point out that the categories that the contestants get are completely random. That’s because US federal law requires that game shows to require an element of luck, to avoid a repeat of the 1950s quiz show scandals (where the shows were rigged and advertising sponsors could tell the producers to get rid of contestants if the sponsors didn’t like them). Also, J! contestants have wide knowledge bases, but no one’s is perfect. Oh, and when those three contestants whiffed on that football category, Scott Van Pelt mocked them on Twitter. So one esteemed J! alum, the late, great Trey Kelso (who died of cancer a few years ago), politely told Scott not to do that. Scott Van Pelt responded by blocking Trey on Twitter. I guess he can’t handle any criticism while he’s heaping it on other people?
