I thank God for the outspokenness of the few. Confusion reigns and no one from Rome attempts to put things right. We need more souls to resist and speak up.

I ordered Credo from Sophia Institute Press directly. It was on backorder for weeks, which while frustrating made me happy all the same that it was in demand by so many people. I've since received the book and cannot put it down. Congratulations to His Excellency for writing this tool for Catholics to use our faith to make sense of these nihilistic, culturally relativistic times.

i am 69 years old. the catechism i was taught is now poo pooed by the progressives who like to believe in themselves and attach the catechism to a syncretic way to their lifestyle. the question and answers of this credo book by the bishop give clear answers. it is up to each one if us to ponder, reflect and pray about our own struggle with the revealed absolute Truth given by God the Trinity. that is a daily prayer journey.

Raised an RC after World War II in the Catholic madrassa my primary school partook of a "ring-kissing ceremony" when an Archbishop visited the diocese. All 800 pupils, mostly aged between seven and twelve years, queued up to kiss his ring while he sat on the altar steps. An altar boy wiped it with a cloth A cloth which ensured the whole school ingested everybody's germs.

I agree with what Bishop Schneider says about the catechism on the Catholic Church. The language is difficult to understand. It does not have a natural flow. At times it needs to be read and reread in order to understand the message

I agree that the JPII Catechism is too wordy. Its not direct to the point but talks about the "economy" of this and that. Who speaks like that? I bought 3 copies of Credo to give to my family.

And here was me thinking the crisis in the catholic church was the duggering (pun intended) of altar boys in the sacristy.

You must know the basics.....you can go on and study higher mathematics untill you know your multiplication tables...so to speak
