@@YT_6jhbvc if I may, I would like to give one example here. Udhav was a very learned man. He gave up when he saw the bhakti of the uneducated illiterate gopis. The gopis did not treat Krishna as God. And they did not learn the vedas. Kevat, Sabri, Rukma bai, Kanakadasa, Ajamil, etc. are all examples. The gopis were very leaned saints in past lives. They had a lot of gyan. But when they realized that gyan can take you maximum upto Brahma Lok which is again under maya, they gave up their gyan. They got birth as gopis. And only then they got eternal love of prabhu. Ravana was a gyani, a tremendous one at that. He was also liberated. But he was not liberated due to his gyan. He was liberated due to his love for Prabhu. I guess you would know about Jai-Vijay which is the past life of Ravan, Hirankashyapu, Hiranyaksha, etc.
