It frustrates me when people say, “Oh you see you had mild symptoms so why is everybody making such a big deal?” I know for a fact that it is a big deal. My mother was just diagnosed with Covid recently and I’ve been in the house taking care of her. I tested negative but had to take care of her and my kids and this has been rough on us all! This is a very big deal because she’s 70 and even though her symptoms weren’t very severe, she still has suffered and it was horrible, she said she though she was going to die! Imagine how that would feel 🤦🏻‍♀️ This virus is horrible and I pray no one has to endure what we have recently. Prayers to everyone out there and hope your smell & taste comes back soon. There are so many people that are called “ long haulers” that still haven’t gotten their senses back or still have chronic fatigue and they had mild cases as well it’s a fact I am it’s scary 😟 😢

Frustrates me too!! I care for my 79yr old mom, with several compromising conditions...I have a sign on each door(I found on the internet) that have a stop sign & explanation! Thankfully I've kept her safe, I've been wearing a mask since the day I flew to another state(Jan2020) & everywhere we go! Her dr has filled many prescriptions with just a conference call and/or me texting pics of her...he tries to keep her out of the Dr office as much as possible! When I see people denying the virus, protesting the virus, arguing about the virus & refusing to wear masks it infuriates me to no end!! The US is denied entry to many countries due to the lack of & ignorance in conquering this virus, and I honestly have no sympathy when the "deniers" contract it!

People seem to forget that majority of covid cases are like this. Asymptomatic to mild symptoms with just home isolation. I tested positive on the 5th of May with my first symptom (fever and sore throat) starting on the first of may. I've just been isolating at home and monitoring my oxygen saturation and temp every 4 hours. Only other symptoms have been some random cough, lost my taste and smell on the 5th of may.

Thank you for sharing these! SO many of the KZfaq videos are just click bait, thank you for the realistic, detailed but not dramatized (the number of thumbnails with some lady smiling with an at-home “breathing treatment” was astounding 🙄) I am on day 5 of symptoms, tested positive on day 1 so far they have been mild for me as well (30 and otherwise healthy-ish). But knowing that this isn’t always the case, that you never know who may have an underlying condition, that this spreads very quickly and the medical world needs us to stand with them and not overwhelm the system is absolutely 1000% why people should be taking it seriously. I appreciate you acknowledging that too! Will be following along on your journey. Best wishes

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your COVID experience. I do get frustrated when, as you mentioned people want to downplay the concern or fuss over the virus. Just happened upon your video. I appreciate everything you have to say. Well done! My daughter is 31, single and got COVID around Thanksgiving. Not sure where she contracted it. None of her friends have it or have gotten sick since she came down with it. She has always worked from home and is extremely responsible. She started out on the first day with aches and pains in her legs and she just chalked it up to not exercising enough. She had recently moved from Brooklyn NY where she was fine, to a new major city and hasn't gotten into an exercise routine again. Then on the second day of feeling achy, she must have had a slight fever because she said she sweated alot that night. Next day she had lost her sense of smell and some sense of taste. That is when she realized she must have COVID and went for a Rapid test which proved positive. She was congested as well. She did not mention any headaches but she just might not have told me! She stayed the same with the sense of smell for a few days. Then it came back 50 percent and the last I talked to her she said 70 percent. She has always used Emergen C or another type of Immunity booster as well as extra Vitamin D. Luckily she has friends that were able to get her whatever groceries she needed as well. She just went this past Wednesday for another Rapid test and tested Negative. She is going for a PCR test and an Antibody test next week. We all have different immune systems and all react differently. It is very scary to a lot of people who have compromised immune systems. I hope you and your husband recover fully from this.

The CDC says the symptoms of COVID-19 and influenza are so similar a test is needed. Since you cannot see the virus this requires you to believe in the test. It was nice to hear from someone who did not have severe symptoms not saying it was no biggie. I’ve watched a few who said I don’t know what all the fuss is about, it’s barely more than a cold. They seem to miss the point that they were lucky. If they look at the death toll they should realize they were more fortunate than many people and that the medical profession is starting to wear thin from their efforts to save lives. Thank you for pointing out the reasons to still try to prevent the spread. May you both make a complete recovery soon.

Thanks for sharing your experience. It brings it home for me a little more each time I see someone share that way. And I don't know about anyone else, but I've never lost my sense of smell from having a cold or the flu (the couple times I've had it in my life), if I had something that felt like a cold or the flu and I also couldn't smell or taste anything, that right there would freak me out. Besides that, it seems that people experience Covid as being a disease that is out to attack, and that it just sucks the life out of you. I would want to take really easy and not make sure anyone else around me caught it.

Unfortunately there’s a percentage of the population that either don’t care or don’t take it seriously UNTIL it hits them or their family. Imagine telling a relative of one of the almost 300 THOUSAND people who have DIED in your country (I'm Canadian) "what's the big fuss?" Keep on keeping on girl .... Where I live (England) right now it’s the Omicron strain that’s mostly doing the rounds and I’m on day 7 of Covid and have the symptoms for omicron but the symptoms I have are exactly just like you had except I haven’t lost my sense of smell or taste. Thank you so much for making these videos. This shows average level symptoms and it seems quite manageable but what a difference a few years and a couple of bad habits can make. I am a 58 year old smoker who drank more than my fair share of beer in my day. I have been hospitalized twice. The second time I was released too early from the hospital. I have no idea what they gave me but when I left the hospital, I had no idea who I was or where I lived. I walked around town as a bag of germs, likely infecting people everywhere I went. This went on for at least 3 days and nights. I was too stupid to even know to ask for help. I have been considered healthy for a few weeks now but there are effects that linger. Many days I just feel stupid. I second guess every decision and I can't stand germs. I don't go out and I don't feel like the virus is gone. When I got sick, one of the symptoms was that I felt I could smell fire, or burning metal. I still smell that quite often. I eat a lot of Chinese food and constantly clean out my fridge of old food and potential germs. There are many foods that turn me off immediately. I have lost at least 20 pounds but eventually I am going to run out of body fat to live off of. I have always been depressed. In this case I might have an advantage over other "long haulers" in that I understand depression to be a thing that just goes away from time to time. Depression is potentially a huge problem for those who don't understand how it works. The clock stops and it seems like the moments will never pass. Depressed people do stupid things with big consequences. I know these symptoms will pass and that I will get better because I have always lived with depression Others might not be so fortunate. If you know people who have fallen victim of depression as a result of covid, keep an eye on them. offer support and make sure they are going to be ok. Remember - teen suicide is almost always a knee jerk reaction to depression and it is not restricted to 12 year old little girls. Depression is a killer if left un-checked.

Amber's videos are highly watchable. I am in England, 77-year-old male, and I haven't had Covid. I was tested twice before separate hospital appointments, both negative. However, I reckon I got some strain of "pre-Covid" back in December 2019. I was staying with relatives in Germany over Christmas and suddenly I was getting night sweats. These lasted for three days. Then I started developing a sore throat just after Boxing Day and the following day I flew back to England. As I drove the 150 miles home from the airport I started a dry, tickly cough. This was all long before Covid became an issue, by the way. The cough got really bad and I took a really good cough medicine for it. But the cough lasted all throughout January 2020 until the second week of February. By then, the media were all talking about this new virus from China and in March 2020 Britain had its first lockdown. I had fully recovered by then from the cough and was symptom free. Perhaps this explains why I never was infected with Covid, as this infection I had gone through gave me immunity. Since 2020 I have had all the vaccine shots and boosters, which give me a sore arm for a few days, but that's all. After the second vaccine I did suddenly get very severe headaches which concerned my doctor to get myself along to A&E (ER in the US) because the medics were concerned about blood clots. I had all kinds of tests over seven hours, but nothing physical was found. Anyway, that's been my experience these last three years! I hope you've made a full recovery since you made your videos, and now I'm going to watch the final one where you discuss your pregnancy.

Yes, I forgot about losing taste and smell, except for a rancid odor when breathing in through nose. People who haven’t had it should be thankful and careful, not being flip about it. Sometimes people have it without knowing and can spread it without knowing. I was a. Nurse, before I became disabled wth auto-immune conditions and spinal issues. I have asthma, bronchial issues. And COPD. It could have been much worse for me, and still ended up with pneumonia later.

It’s so good that given your underlying conditions, it did not amount to much worse. I hope you get to use your nursing background again. Nurses are extremely valuable anytime, anywhere. I have asthma and since Covid started have been suffering from anxiety, so getting Covid19 downright terrifies me. I feel I wouldn’t make it. But then I read your post and it gives me hope that maybe I’d survive it if I were to get it. I’m protecting myself from others and praying I don’t. God bless you and may you recover quickly.

My experience with it, even though high risk, over 65 and T2 diabetes, was mild as yours was. I had most of the same symptoms except I never lost my taste or smell and I did have some nausea...very mild though, and no diarrhea. But for me the fatigue and general malaise lasted almost a month even though I was over most other symptoms in about a week or a little more. I do know others who have died or have been battling in and out of the hospital with ongoing multi-system failure in their body. It certainly is not to be taken lightly. I do a lot of natural things to support my immune system and take anti-viral/anti-bacterial supplements anyway, because I'm allergic to most antibiotics. Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience.

I took emergen-C 2 VITAMIN C VITAMIN D NAC Tylenol and zycam. Each day was an adventure with excruciating headache , nosebleed, muscle and body aches, back pain horrible , fatigue , nausea and diarrhea. On day 12 i got a fever 103.5 . I got it down and the next days started feeling better. I’m 57 and in great shape . Now I’m coughing but that’s it. My husband same but less extensive than me he’s 63
