As somebody that lives in the south i would say we have more hospitality so we seem nicer but dont get it twisted we will tell it straight like it is like new yorkers so personality could be different to them. Also we value different stuff in the south you have to make it do what it do with what we have which at times is not much compared to higher end places like new york. So we value different things but definitely not bad personalities we are welcoming ppl but dont try and get over. And our slang is different so we have sayings down here that might make them question our motive but same could be said about new york.

Yeah right! People from the south are the friendliest! Come down to TN or Georgia..you see someone and they're gonna stay up a conversation or ask you how you are, hold the door for you. We are just friendly for the most part. Which yes may be different but that doesn't mean the "worst personality." I'm just saying to say the south in its entirety is wack wasn't right. They should've picked a state. Just my opinion.

As a person that was born and raised in the South Louisiana, Stand up ⬆️ Now living in VA. I think Southerners have the best personalities. We pretty much cool with everyone until you give us a reason not to be. And we clean down here with The way we dress as well. But yeah very different from the East Coast as far as attitude, and vibes 💯 Don't take our kindness for a weakness though, We are far from that 💯💪🏾

This is 100% true! I grew up in the south in Texas. But I joined the military at 18 so I met people from all over America. I get along with people from all over but mostly people from the south I clicked with faster. I currently been living in Cali for 14 years. I like California but I still like people from the south.

Up North people are kind of rude I feel only because I’m from down south where we speak as we walk past people.. my opinion.. down south people are honest and raw but we just know how to word our words..
