I paid $415 for my program fee and I filled out a survey to opt out of transportation and get almost half of the fee back! Also if you’re vaccinated you’ll get your parking decal waived!

As someone who got accepted for Fall Advantage 2021, this is was so helpful to watch! Also for Flamingo Crossing, you get to rank the room choices like first, second, third and then they'll do their best to accommodate your choice.

I am going spring 2021 and my program fee was 425. And everyone has to be vaccinated so the parking decals arent free anymore. Also the prices for each room have been raised abt 20 dollars each. I got the 2x2 room for 195 plus any extra utilities. And the 2 bedroom apartments have twin xl beds, but the 4x2 and 4x4 ones have full size.

I just got accepted for Fall 22 and the program fee was $415 and the hourly rate will be $14. We can’t apply for housing until 60 days out but the rents are increasing by $10 for this year and next year they will be increased again by another $10.

I was an ICP in 2012 (yikes! I'm old!) and for ICPs our visa only allows us to work up to 30 hours and we earned $8,50 an hour back then. I paid $89 weekly for housing in Chatham so I think that given the inflation and the salary raise it pretty much matches it but Flaming Crossings is WAY BETTER

Thank you for your video! I just graduated Spring 2021 and I feel so rushed to make a decision about DCP... I've decided I'm just going to wait for the next program application and see if anything changes (blackout dates, fees, etc). Hopefully there will be a lot of videos from people's experiences of this upcoming DCP by then!

The blackout dates have changed it shows Having the usual thanksgiving and 2 weeks in Christmas blocked off for cast members. Which is usual. But the rest is open (except for the usual weekends) i am going this month there

Mine was $100 per week for a 2 bed, 6 person in chatham! I was so broke I literally cannot imagine paying this much & surviving LOL

I'm going for my 3rd CP this coming week and luck to stay in Flamingo Crossing...Yes I am one of the OG that stayed in the older Apartments like Patterson twice and I just recently graduated from grad school which they are accepting it now... When my program was cancelled last year my role was in entertainment as a Character Attendant but now it's changed to QSFB Festival at Epcot... I don't have the experience in food service but I heard it was fun. You get to work the Food & Wine and Holiday Events... And also cast members have to make an appointment to come to the park that's not blocked out and the bus doesn't go to Disney Springs and some of the resorts!!

we also got to put preferences for housing! it seemed that people who are vaccinated got the 4 bedroom and people who weren’t got the 2 bed

Actually I’ve noticed that the people who had their program canceled last year are getting the 4 bedrooms and the new applicants are getting two bedrooms. I’m vaccinated and got 2 bedrooms.

Pretty sure Flamingo is actually up to $235 per WEEK. That's $940/month. 2:17 Did you mean to say your rent was $125/week? Or a month?

Question! Does your employers care about what u may post on social media... or if you decide to say over a family members house overnight and not return for a night? Is there a clear boundary between your personal and professional lifestyle? (Obviously not saying im going to be posting crazyyyyy things but, food for thought!)

I didn't get a season pass to universal eather when I did my program for Fall 2019 but no regrets because I felt that one trip to each universal park was enough. I worked Tomorrowland attractions MK and I did the same thing you did when you had earlier shifts. Even though it was very rear for me to not close the times that I would get off work earlier I would change and go explore the parks and it was so much fun because I would ride some rides get dinner meet some characters and watch happily ever after.

I just took my WBI yesterday and it says I am in consideration. I really hope I get in but I have been super nervous. I have a really weak stomach and know I couldn't handle custodian because I would literally just get sick all the time so knowing that they will work with you put my mind at ease a bit. Thank you!

yes I did! someone would have to take my shift. but if I couldn't find anyone to do it and I really couldn't go in, I had to call out (but if you call out you're not allowed to go to any parks)

Could you touch base more on the school/learning side of the program? I just graduated college and although working in Disney would be AMAZING, I’m interested in learning more about if it’s worth it (in your opinion) going from a full-time job to joining the DCP. In the grand scheme of things- I just want the experience! All from working at Disney to learning from those in the company. Thank you in advance if you do answer :)

I have a whole video talking about the schooling from the past programs but i’m not sure how it’s changed!! there really wasn’t much schooling involved with the DCP. its more of an internship than an education if that makes any sense! it probably says it on the website if it’s changed from that. I think the dcp is great if you just want to do it short term. if you’re looking to stay in florida for a while, definitely go for full time!

My daughter was just accepted, and I've been researching like a mad woman! If you don't already know, it'll take a couple of months before comp park tix will be available to her. Not sure about the discounts.

I applied in the July term since I am waiting for a working permission card hopefully my card arrives on time. I am not sure when they are reaching out to me but is this time there's a phone interview or they will just send an email I get accepted or denied with the job position? I really desire to get into the Disney college program to make new experiences like you! Hi, I have a quick question, how long is the training for the jobs? Also can parents move us in to our apartments?

training is usually 5 days of "on the job" training. they kinda throw you out there with a trainer by your side and you learn as you go! they help you with everything so much! and yes I think you can have 2 people come with you to move in!

I know you mentioned about getting a seasonal pass from universal. If cms are blocked out still from the parks (which I hope not), is it not worth it to get an annual pass (if/when that is offered again) or should we not get one?

only if you think you’ll make use of it! I personally could go to disney everyday. but if you extend your program you might get tired of the same thing all the time. totally a persol preference!

What college majors would you say this program helps for in the future? I’m interested in applying for the program but if it doesn’t help my Education major to become a English teacher I don’t think I should apply although it sounds like a wonderful experience

people of all majors do the program just for the experience! but it would definitely benefit people with a hospitality or business degree since disney is such a well respected company

I did a WBI for a full time role, but I just know I can’t take a full time rn. But I’m hoping since I passed my WBI it rolls over to my DCP application but it’s still in app received 😭. Ughhhh

thats so frustrating!!! but honestly, DCP is full time hours for most people (40+ hours a week) Aaaaand you get full benefits and an extra dollar an hour if you do full time!! the only difference would be not living in Flamingo Crossings.. so if you get an offer for full time you should definitely consider it!

@@riss_papa Yeah, I wish but I do not see myself moving to Florida full time for long term. Plus I cannot drive. Plus housing. I was hoping mostly that if I took the WBI regardless it would automatically push me to in consideration for DCP but at least I still passed it😭

no dont be!!!! they probably are flooded with applications and they are gonna get to it. its so hard to wait but I bet it'll be worth it!

yes they probably would because its a really high demand role with a lot of spots to fill! and you'd be trained and learn every little thing about it!

Yeah they will. I have zero experience with food, all of my experience is in retail (build a bear for 3 years and target for 2 years) and I still got quick service restaurant. I couldn’t pick or anything so I just got placed randomly. I do know people are getting attractions, sales, and house person though!

Can anyone who has recently been accepted confirm they had chances to switch out of roles that are unhealthy for them? I'm still in consideration, but I have a lot of food allergies and my biggest fear is getting a food service or custodial role and not being able to negotiate another one. I have paperwork and documentation of my allergies, used it to get accommodations in college, but can anyone in THIS run of DCP acceptances confirm I would have a chance to renegotiate my role if assigned a role I can't accept?
