The fact that your uworld average was 62% is wild, when u think about your final step2 score! Mine is 55% and i'm aiming 250+ so that gives me hope haha. Thank you for the video and great view by the way! Enjoy New Zealand.

I'm glad it can give you hope! I think what matters more than your UWorld percent correct is what you learn from each question. Perhaps the UW percentage correct would be predictive if there were no answer explanations. However, the reality is that some people will study the explanations and others will just go on to the next question without learning anything because they thought they knew it because they got it correct and that can make a huge difference in Step score. You are fully capable of scoring 250+. good luck 👍

I’m a rising 4th year hoping to pursue anesthesiology and was hoping you could share some tips/make a video about how to do well on away rotations! Do you feel like doing an away factors heavily into matching at a residency? Thank you!!!😊

Good luck pursuing anesthesia!! That is a great idea to make a video about doing well on away rotations. I matched at one of the programs I did an away at (which also happened to be my #1), so I think it was important. I know of people who also matched at their #1's without doing aways, however, and the way they seemed to do it was by reaching out to residents and attendings in the program and trying to get to know people that way.

Hey, when you say that you only wrote notes on UW questions you got wrong twice are you speaking about an incorrect that you would do again in dedicated and that was the first time you wrote notes? When preparing for shelfs since you didn’t do used questions then did you write notes to prepare for those?

Hi, I've already completed the CMS forms for the IM shelf and my shelf is in a week. Would you recommend continuing with UWorld or uw incorrect , or should I also solve internal medicine questions from the Step 2 offline forms? Are the shelf exam and these NBMEs similar in difficulty and type of questions?

I have followed Mehlman similar to you, I haven’t noticed any repeat questions after doing CMS forms on my shelf’s. Did you only see repeats from CMS forms on the step 2? Not sure if I am off in my thinking that I would have seen repeats on shelf’s.

That's a good point. I also didn't seem to notice any CMS repeats on shelfs. I only felt like I saw repeats from CMS forms on Step 2, but maybe they weren't so much repeats as they were similar questions? All the questions started blurring by that point, but Step 2 just felt a lot like the CMS forms for me.
