Its good to adventure onto something else and it does clear your thoughts and you can fall right back into what you want to make. Being all over the place with clays can be a great thing. Idea's of so many things you try can be applied to others. Its all practice and all fun. You truly have the confidence in yourself because you wouldn't have the desire to do so. I love your creating an altoids box because its the feeling you want to capture and feel with yourself. Then your hands will do the rest. Yes its truly that simple.. hugs

+rosalie Thompson Someone emailed me and said if I just buy the clear candle wax at my local craft store it will be firm enough to carve and a lot cheaper. The company I ordered mine from still has not made it to me and I dont want to put out any companies until I know for sure. Im going to get some candle wax in the big slab thats what the lady suggested. It appears she has been doing the same thing I have with wax not to hollow but to restore the look of her polymer clay. If it works it will be cheaper then doll wax. I will let everyone know more about the wax.

Julie Jelaco hi Julie my eye lashes I used are in the description. But I will put it here for you. I used kemper supplies. As for the mold goop I don't quite understand what you mean there I use Clear candle wax to make the core. If you want to make a mold to pour your wax in which that is really not necessary. You would just use Easy mold silicone. I now just melt my candle wax and when it cools enough to handle I form and shape my wax core. One other thing with eyelashes. Search for silicon newborn babies. They usually are the ones that have eyelashes that don't look so full. I buy the lower lashes. But it's really up to you on what you want. I would suggest this I wouldn't buy eyelashes on a long string. I found those to be not so realistic and stiff. But again it's up to the individual. I hope I answered all your questions. Yes you can but Im going to share with you what I found with doing so. Then you can decide what you like. Fimo gel gave me problems as to clouding up later and even much later on when the doll was even finished and just sitting there. For me I wasn't pleased at all. If you decide to use the femo gel you might put a sealer over the eye to help with keeping it clear. Experiment with a pair of eyes and see if you like it. Everyone likes things different and many do use femo gel.
