“Windows of Heaven”: according to default purpose of a window, things don’t pass through them. they are meant to see through. So that verse means something more like “a veil was lifted and the view of Heaven was seen”. Probably meaning truth was revealed, and blessings were received.

There is a view that "the heavens and the earth" should be translated "the heavens and the underworld" - so eretz referencing the grave, the realm of the dead.
