A simple way to practice the motion, is to make the 'Devil horns'. Start with all your fingers straight and together, with your thumbtip at the base of your ring and middle fingers. Maintaining contact at all times, slide your tumbtip up to the ring and middle fingertips and over the back of them. Its important to do it forward and backward at a constant rate and pressure; as an isometric exercise. Its not really specific to this trick, I also use very similar hand exercises for guitar; it just trains fine motor control.

Backpalm - very cool and excellent demonstration and instructions. A little harder to do than it seems, you make it look easy! That pivot though, looks like you got some double jointness with that thumb! 😊

It’s crazy how rewatching that scene now, jimmy isnt very good at the trick, but before I watched this video he looked like a god. Wow i guess magic does that to you.

I've been appearing and disappearing cards for years, but the pivot is new to me and its dope. My pinkies are jacked up so it's super challenging but I'll keep working on it. Thanks for the video.

I’ve only taught magic in the past and I started my magic journey sifting through many low quality tutorials. This is how I would’ve wanted the tutorials to look like :)
