I tried many antennas, live in between NYC and Philadelphia and none of them worked for me good enough. I bought 2 of these each posting to NYC & Philli respectively. Joined them to simple splitter and then the out to TV 📺 and I now have access to clear HD TV to stations in both NYC & Philli. Hopefully will be able to enjoy NFL games being broadcasted from both stations. Thank you Antennas Direct. I recommend this product 👍🏽

Hello, we have Clearstream 4v w/ mount model c4-v-cjm. We’ve had it since 2014 for our destination trailer. Worked for years, but this year it’s not getting any signals, 0. It’s mounted outside with no obstructions. My dad connected a small tv to the cable directly from the antenna and still no signal. Through the wind rain hail and snow and debris the antenna has proven to be very reliable for our 18? Maybe 23 channels. It’s a campground. We only want it to work like it did and not receive HGTV or other DIY shows. If you know what I mean. Moms and redecorating. Anyway, we have yet to inspect the antenna for damage, but it appears to be in excellent physical condition. Every year we have to adjust that bar that gets tilted, other than that, we have done no other adjustments. Cable runs underground, connected to a junction (above ground), then goes back under ground, and into our addon room. Which then goes into an indoor amp, and then to the TV. Regardless, the cable from the antenna did not work for the small tv. HELP! TYIA. We are located in waupaca Wisconsin. I’ll take a video of how our antenna is mounted

This appears obvious, but to be sure, is there a permanently attached cable to this antenna after complete installation, that needs to connect to my televisions indoor? I see the cable attached when synching, but don't know if this is permanent, after that's done. Kindly elaborate.
@ADirect

There is a short pigtail (our term) on the spine of the antenna. You would connect a separate coaxial cable (sold separately) to this pigtail and pull the weather boot over the connection. The cable that is sold separately would be connected to your TV. If you are installing outdoors or in your attic, you would probably split the TV signals with a splitter, by which you would need additional cable from the splitter to each TV. If you would like more details, we are available 7 days a week at 877-825-5572. Always happy to help!

@AntennasDirect
@AntennasDirect 4 жыл бұрын
From the cable service point that is leading into the house, run one direct line from that cable service point to the modem. Remove the line from the splitter used by the cable service and use a barrel connector to connect the coaxial cable to a dedicated line going to the modem. Then, connect the coaxial cable from the antenna to the existing splitter. All TVs connected to the existing line in your home will now have over-the-air broadcast signals. Remember to scan for channels on all the TVs in your home. If you need any further assistance, you can chat with us online at store.antennasdirect.com.

@ADirect
@ADirect 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kevin, I saw you wrote a note on the ClearStream 2MAX KZfaq video as well. The number of channels really depends on where you are located from the towers and where your antenna in installed. Athens, TN has some mountainous terrain, so receiving more signals/TV channels in your area will be difficult unless you can get a clear line of sight to the towers above the mountains (if you live on a mountain) or receiving reflected signals that are bouncing off the mountains. That can be a bit tricky but is doable if you are willing to spend time on it. You can call tech support and give them your exact location so they can review the terrain and they may be able to provide you with some tips on getting more signals. We perform free signal analysis for everyone to help folks find the right antenna for their location. We can be reached at 877-825-5572 or chat with us online at antennasdirect.com. I hope this helps!

Once you install the base to your roof or fascia, you will not be able to move it. The antenna includes an adjustable bracket and the mast itself will swing forward and backward. You can tighten the bolts on the bracket and the mast anytime you need to. With the adjustable bracket, you can turn the antenna in different directions to find the best signal. Remember to scan your TV for channels every time you adjust the antenna.

@Lloyd Bonafide Line of sight is not about the antenna, it's the frequency in which our towers are broadcasting. It is possible to receive signals that reflect off the deep canyon your mentioned. Since we really don't know your area, it would be best to call into our support team and speak to a tier 2 rep. We are available 7 days a week 877-825-5572. Here is some info on UHF and VHF signals. UHF signals wavelength is shorter, they are the most reliant on having a clear line of sight between your antenna and the nearby tower. Their short wavelength also means that they bounce more easily off interfering objects in their path to your antenna. VHF signal wavelengths are longer than UHF signals, they can more easily bend over and around certain obstructions in the terrain between the TV towers and the receiving TV antenna. For example, they are better at reaching a TV antenna in hilly or mountainous areas. Now since you are in a deep canyon, this will take a some experimenting. Usually when you are trying to capture the TV signals, in some cases in is worth trying to receive the signal by turning the antenna in the opposite direction away from the towers. If you have any an antenna already you may want to try this first. Remember you need to to scan the TV for channels every time you move or turn the antenna to see if you are receiving some signals.

The National Electrical Code includes the requirements for grounding your antenna or mast in Article 810. Please consult the NEC, a local licensed electrician, or a local electrical inspector for details. Why go through all that hassle when a good indoor antenna works just as good if not better than that outdoor antenna?
@AntennasDirect
@AntennasDirect 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Billy, thank you for sending us a message. Precise location of your installation plays a key role in signal strength. For suburban and rural areas, building materials and tall trees will reduce the signal strength causing pixilation or in most cases no signal at all for a specific frequency. We have a lot of low-power stations requiring an outdoor antenna with a higher gain than an indoor antenna to receive those signals. Also, our antennas have a wide beam angle allowing for signals to be received from multiple directions. If you are interested in more information, please feel free to chat with us online at antennasdirect.com or give us a call toll-free in the U.S. at 877-825-5572. We're available 7 days a week.
