Anthem 2 Wagon Review: How does it compare to Veer & Evenflo?

This is a review on the Gladly Family Anthem 2 Wagon. In addition to reviewing the Anthem 2 I make a few comparisons of how it holds up against the Veer Cruiser and Evenflo Xplore wagons which it looks most similar to.

The main selling point for us was what's best for hiking/trailing? Since the Anthem 2 has bigger wheeles we're going with that - Thanks for the review/testing!

So helpful as these are the three I was looking at! I'm torn. My diaper bag is big so leaning toward Veer. Big hold ups- is the Veer comfortable with the hard seats? Does the Gladly work well in the rain when you zip the visors? I also hate that for diaper changes the Veer would need a $100 attachment. Seems nice though being able to hose ice cream and dirt off the Veer. Any tips that could help me decide?

It hasn’t rained here yet so I can’t really answer the rain question. But it has mesh on the sides of the windows so if it’s a downpour there would still definitely be water getting in. But the fabric feels pretty resistant. I don’t think that the ability to hose off the Veer is worth the huge price difference.

Thx for this review! For the anthem 2 how wide is the handlebar? Would you add a stroller bag? Or is there enough storage with the basket and the box? Thx again for the content you are so helpful!

Thanks for watching 🙏🏼 the handle is pretty roomy. I have put a diaper bag on the handle, but it doesn’t pull well if you have the diaper bag hanging on it so just be careful of that. I have fit a medium sized diaper bag in the basket but it pretty much took up the whole basket.

One more question sorry, the store owner where I saw the Veer said it can carry 650 pounds and his older kids sometimes go in it or even adults playing around at the store. The specs online though say it holds much less. Thoughts on that?

The store owner can say that, but the Veer can only hold 110lbs according to its manual. If you put more in it that will be on your own accord and could void any warranty. Do I think that it can hold much more? Absolutely it can, but that would be your discretion.

How is the anthem 2 holding up? I just got mine and noticed I have to fiddle with the latch when trying to collapse it.. not sure if it’s defective or just a poorly engineered latch.

So far so good. When collapsing it I have to lift up first then down while fiddling with the latch which I think is due to placement of the latch behind the canopy. Try removing the canopy on that side and see if you still have trouble and take a video in case it is defective and you need to contact customer service about it.

How comfortable would it be to push this for a 5’0” tall mom since the handlebar height doesn’t seem to be adjustable? And how has this wagon held up over time for you? Thanks for a great video with such helpful information!

So far so good with the wagon. It’s pretty sturdy and still pushes really well. I think for a 5’0” mom it might be like pushing a Costco cart (if you’ve ever pushed one). Costco carts are pretty high up so if that feels too high for you then it might be a struggle.

I’m torn between the anthem 2 and veer. It seems that anthem 2 would give me the most bang for my buck but I am worried about how hard/easy it is to clean. We live in the Pacific Northwest so would be taking our wagon in stroller friendly hikes which would be muddy a lot.. I have a friend with a veer and she just hoses it off after going on a hike but because the anthem is made of fabric, I worry if I would be able to just hose it down for cleaning as well. How do you clean your anthem?

The Anthem has spot clean fabric only. If you’re worried about keeping it clean, especially from mud, I would go with Veer. The ability to just hose it down is a huge draw for the Veer and I would get that for the ease of cleaning.

How do you like this compared to a Pronto? I currently have the Pronto but would like the footwell and wider width I’d get with an Anthem 4. Love the design of the canopies on the anthem better, really it’s the biggest gripe on my Pronto.

I still like the Pronto more because it works better for my family. I think it’s more versatile for my needs and has a higher weight limit. But if you like having a footwell then definitely the Anthem is a great option. The canopy height isn’t too high so older kiddos might outgrow it sooner, and the basket not folding into the wagon when folded bugs me, but those are personal preferences so it might not bug you as much.

The pronto now has a footwell but it’s $1000, which is 150.00 more then the original.

Im stuck between a Larktale and a Anthem 2. I have a 1 year old and and an almost 4 year old. So I am looking for something with a high weight limited, which one would you suggest? Or do you have any other recommendations for an older kid?

The Anthem has a higher listed weight limit, but I have put quite a bit of weight in my Larktale with no problems. There’s really a lot of factors that go into a wagon rec. please feel free to DM on IG and we can discuss what might best suit your family’s needs ☺️

Can you fold the Anthem with the snack tray on? Which wagon do find yourself using the most? Thanks for such a great video.

Thank you for watching! 🙏🏼 I believe you have to remove it to fold, honestly I havent tried folding it with the snack tray on, but I think the seat backs will hit it if you try to fold it with the snack tray on. The once I use the most is my Pronto, but that just works best for my needs and the preferences I have.

How does the Anthem4 compare with the Keenz 7s? Any thoughts on what you would choose?

I only had the Anthem 2, but I would presume the Anthem 4 would do just as well. I would choose the Anthem 2 over the Keenz 7s. I’m curious to see how the new Keenz 7s+ (their new 4-seater) will do, but I haven’t pre-ordered it yet.

What did you think about pushing the anthem since the smaller wheels are closer to the handle vs the other models-was it hard to get used to? And what do you think about the handle not having the typical U-bar vs single center pole?

It takes getting used to, but the Anthem push is pretty smooth. I still prefer the traditional stroller like push, but the Anthem is not bad to maneuver.

It really depends on your family’s needs. I do like how the Anthem maneuvers better than the Veer and the canopies are a lot better on the Anthem in my opinion.

If you had a choice of the Larktale Caravan or Anthem 2 which would you choose? Price not being a consideration.

For me, I prefer having a traditional stroller-like handle so I would choose the Caravan. But it’s very subjective to your preferences, both are great choices so it just depends on your needs.

The veer wagon system is just a robbery of your money. The add-ons are just a way to keep you spending more with them. It’s truly a luxury item with more of an aesthetic look for kardashian type people. The other two are good options especially since they come equipped with everything you needs.

That’s definitely one way to look at it. But it does have quality materials and the ability to hose it down to clean is alluring for families that are always on the go.

How would you compare the Anthem vs the Larktale Coupe? We are having such a hard time deciding

The Coupe has a more traditional stroller push and is easier to close the footwell for naps, plus has reclining seats and 5-pt harnesses. The Anthem has closing canopies and a storage basket but only 3-pt harnesses, so it really depends on what features you value more. I, personally, prefer a more traditional stroller like push vs maneuvering leading with the big wheels. It’s not difficult, by any means, on the Anthem; just prefer a stroller like handle too.

This is a great review! With the canopy on, Can a toddler's head hit the canopy easily? What's the recommend child's height for this canopy? I am debating between the Anthem 2 and Anthem 4.

Thank you for watching 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I think I added the measurement from seat to canopy in the video. The recommended child height will really depend on the height of the child’s torso. My kid is more leggy so seat height doesn’t affect her as much if that makes sense?

Which wagon (veer, keenz, wonderfold, anthem) would you recommend for taller babies/kids?

For taller kiddos I’d go either Wonderfold or Keenz. They will have the height clearance under the canopy and the leg space for taller kids. Larktale is also good for taller kids but has a lower weight limit.

Of the three I actually prefer the Anthem 2. It’s the most bang for your buck since all the accessories are included. If you’re looking for a smaller version of this type of wagon the Joey wagon is also a great choice!
