Unpopular opinion: the reason the Lakers are doing bad isn’t the fault of one player, but rather the whole team.

I’ve been saying this for a while, the fact that the media has been obsessed with tearing down Russ on a daily basis meant no one was talking about AD’s lackadaisical play and shockingly bad 3pt %, worse than Russ on many many nights. He was getting off easy with the perfect scapegoat team mate taking all the abuse.

AD has his ring so now he doesn’t have anything left to motivate himself he has always been a guy that can turn it on and off whenever he feels like it but it seems like off the court issues has AD focused on something else because he just doesn’t look like he wants to be there. Seriously look at him during games and he has that thousand yard stare when he is on the bench and something is off with him and he must get his head right.

As a Knicks fan, that trade is too much considering how injury prone AD is and your saying to give up 6 first round picks for someone who is going to play probably less then 50 games. I’ve seen our young talent and I don’t like to give that up as well for someone who is staring to be considered or probably is not a superstar anymore. It’s never been about Westbrook. It’s about his contract. The Lakers are literally signing people from door dash because Westbrook’s contract is taking up all the cap space. AD is what happens to skilled bigs that play w/ LeBron. same thing happened to Kevin Love and Chris Bosh. LeBron doesnt want them playing inside on offense. so they become far less effective, exclusively perimeter players. its also why they become more injury prone. they are playing a style that doesnt suit their game or body type.

What do you guys think about a 3 team trade with lakers pacers and Atlanta? Lakers get turner, hield, and get 2 1sts from atlanta, pacers get a Atlanta 1st and 2 2nds and John Collins, and Atlanta gets AD. This gives lakers shooting and defense to surround lebron. Pacers get rid of turner and hield while also getting a return of picks and a nice fit in John collins at the 4. Atlanta gets a superstar in AD to run the 4 next to capela and they get paired with Trae and dejounte.
