If Gordon is a Liverpool supporter and has the ambition to become a world class player, then by all means. Welcome to Liverpool. But if Liverpool keeps Diaz then I don't really see the point. I would say they're pretty much at the same level. Clear weaknesses to their game, Diaz's being end product and Gordon being technical skills, but they both have great workrate. I think Gordon would've been a better fit under Klopp than Diaz, as Klopp likes direct physical football which is exactly what Gordon brings, but under Slot it's really hard to say which one of them would do better.

I like Diaz but his back-and-forth running is sometimes useless for the team and gives the ball away too many times. Gordon will be much better for goals and assists for the team, homegrown, LFC fan to heart, and can play multiple positions upfront. But not for the expense of Jarell Quansah though, no chance.

Hate to say this as I friggin love Lucho however Gordon would be an upgrade over time. Good role model for Doak as well. The reason I say this is simply due to the fact he has been doing it in the PL for years and until last season I couldn't even stand to see Gordons face never mind comment this! @@peacelove8395I’m a Liverpool fan from Canada who chose Liverpool this year as the team I would cheer for, (since the other top three teams put me to sleep and had annoying fans/oil money), so I’m not well versed in mane, and haven’t watched Much of Gordon at Newcastle other than his goal against us with the Darwin comeback. My point is, I don’t know much about either player but you said he is nothing like mane and then made a list of things mane did well, and didn’t talk about Gordon’s actual problems. Other than the low centre of gravity, that one is pretty obvious.

Good player that can become great, I just don't get why we would spend 80 - 100 million pounds for a LW when we have Diaz, Gakpo and potentially Szobo, Jota, Darwin and even Carvalho can play there.. I know wingers can adapt to the other side and Gordon can be the RW, but still his preferred position is LW. Pointless transfer unless we sell Lucho who is better imo, so the only thing Gordon has over Diaz is the fact he's younger and english, that's it. And Quansah should not be included in any deals, he's the future for Liverpool in CB position.
