I thought AJ did fine for a guy who wasn't about to lose a 3rd time in a row. Also Franklin participated, dismissing his durability and the job AJ did big manning him all night is pretty low tier fandom. Just because people got themselves convinced he needed a knockout doesn't mean that was their goal. Getting the W was the goal. Success.

Agree 100%. He was up against a counterpuncher which is a style that has given AJ so many problems. Of course he wasn't about to go taking unnecessary risks. This fight is going to have done him really good.

AJ ring walk was great, as someone from BK NY I'm glad AJ had a local artist shine, the man always putting his people from UK also Nigeria up, I wish that even in the dark times they dont keep putting him down. He's a great person and did so much for people and the sport. Credit to Franklin though, he's a tough fighter and surly was not a warm up fight.

Aj technically has improved under Derek James defensively and tempo wise 👌 a decent confidence building exercise against a fighter that's been in the sport since the age of 4..

This was an entertaining fight, I can't lie I'm glad Franklin was a tough opponent and showed that he belongs in the ranks as a top 10 fighter. Franklin's story is a story of greatness and showed that he deserves every bit of respect. I'm team Joshua yet Franklin is a beast.

The issue is, people think Franklin is a weak boxer, No! He his not a push over. Franklin is good! Though we want a knock for AJ, this is not bad to regain his confidence. More over AJ have always had challenges with small men and south paws! Congratulations AJ!

In a few years time when aj, uysk, wilder and fury have retired, I do see Franklin as our next champion. He’s very respectful and a good person! I’d be happy to have him as the next champ, in a few years to come

John Hedges has great size , mobility and punching speed to be only 20 years old. It looks like he will have a bright future in the light heavyweight division and potentially on and upwards.

Listened live; this was the first time seeing the Clarke stoppage. Didn't seem early to me, there were a lot of clean, hard shots landed. That was only going one way.

I'd imagine it's either a sparing injury or Dericks caught him with the pad on the warm up... sometimes pad man's get carried away to get you warmed up and sharp

Derrick James is a hell of a coach, but Joshua’s is really hesitant and I don’t think it’s going to change, his mentality has been shifted from his ko loss to Ruiz.

Unlike the war that Whyte had with Franklin…Whyte lucky to get the decision, Joshua was easily in control the whole this fight. But this guy Franklin can fight, very skilled boxer, fast counter puncher similar to Ruiz just more athletic and more aggressive. Good win for Joshua under a lot of pressure not to get caught with a lucky bomb.

if anyone from matchroom is reading this will you please bid for the uysk fight if they can not agree terms because if warren stages the fight he will try and sell uysk short again and stage the fight at the 02.the champ needs a bigger venue like wembley or similar..my reasoning is that the fans will support a eddie hearn promotion far more than a frank warren promotion..if warren decides to go bigger than the 02 the fans will not support it or him due to the way fury and queensbury handled the negotiations for undisputed...please please please win that purse bid and lets make sure warren and arum get as little as possible..it makes sense for hearn to promote this fight because warren is not going to sell out wembley with uysk and dubois.he will sell out the o2 and thats about it.

AJ gained a lot of respect and support in part due to the way he carried himself. Recently, he's classless after fights and contradicts himself all the time. He says fans won't care about him when he's done with boxing. He says he is in it for the fans. He says he is in it purely for the money. He disrespected Franklin after the fight and Usyk. He insinuated that Loma (with his limited English vocab) was racist for calling him 'strong', having previously said black people should only invest in black businesses, jumping on the bandwagon because of something that didn't even happen in the UK. Loma had just watched Joshua get outboxed by his fellow countryman twice so perhaps was justified in not praising Joshua's boxing ability. Also why would he have a complex about black people's boxing skillset when Mayweather is the greatest technical boxer of all time and Crawford is currently number one IMO; if you disagree with either you must at least agree that they are certainly both top 3.

I’ve waited my whole life to watch this fight!!! Who exactly is Franklin? Of course… flabby and most importantly- a non-dangerous opponent. Such a shame that politics are involved in getting the matches to the ring we really want to see… Fury v AJ and wilder v Joyce…
