@@sleepingdogpro Thankfully I live in a pocket of the fandom where that is not an issue. I hope that those entitled fangirls/boys realise one day, that Bucky was not ready, not at the time. If they have watched Infinity War they should have noticed how much Bucky hates to fight. For the first time in over 70 years he is free to do what he wants and I think that Steve and Bucky talked about that before Steve left. I just wish that they wouls have goven us this talk, even if it would have trown off the pacing of the movie a bit.

Sometimes I think fans live too long in fanfiction and forget what the actual films have given us. Whether the films have given it well or not is another question (I wish we'd gotten their conversation too, or at least something more than what we got!) but that's different from thinking Bucky, as written in the MCU, would actually be happy carrying the shield right now. Hell, he wasn't even happy doing that in the comics and never fully felt comfortable being Cap, but he was going into it because it was literally Steve's dying wish. The circumstances are so different here and Seb has been playing Bucky as tired/wanting to break free of all this for quite a while. The man isn't ready for battle right now. He's just not.

he's right if you think about the movies because Sam was Steve's main partner ever since the second Captain America, more than Bucky ever was. And how Sam sacrificed for Steve and Bucky in Civil War shows Sam cares a lot about Steve and he portrayed the Captain America's personality of a selfless man. Also, Bucky never signed up for this life, if he did, he would've also tried to go for the supersoldier serum too as Steve did. No, he was merely a product of the American WW2 propaganda to make young men throw away their lives in a foreign land. All his life Bucky was controlled and couldn't make his own choices, wouldn't make sense for Steve to decide the rest of his life too.

Prob to start over as a good guy and atone for all the things he did when he had no control. He would be like steve but have long hair and a metal arm while with falcon we got a dude with wings that has a shield. It makes so much less to give falcon the shield unless falcon stops wearing his wings,but that kinda sux imho. Anyways,mackie however fun he is doesnt fit well for captain america. Captain america was a serious dude that is funny sometimes,while falcon is opposite aka they will probably try to cash in on mackies humor. Even if that isnt the case idk,I guess nobody can take the part from chris evens at this point like nobody can take iron man from downey jr.

Black dragon story Exactly Captain America WAS a serious dude that was funny sometimes, why on earth would Falcons version of Cap be an exact duplicate? That would be stale and I’m glad it is a completely different personality for Cap now seeing as I hated the Cap character previously (not Evans portrayal, just never liked the overly righteous Cap character). Bucky is still mentally ill, and as it’s been announced, Zemo is returning as a villain in their show, a guy who knows how to mess with Buckys mind. Why would he be passed the shield when he isn’t even fully in control of himself? Makes no sense.

And on top of that I dont think mackie can portay conviction as evens did. Especially not if they go the funny route. We dont need change just for the sake of change. I am arguing more about why mackie wont be good enough,rather than bucky being the next captain america. If I had to choose between those 2 I would say bucky,but overall it doesnt have to be any of the two of them.
