I think with the rebrand from KZfaq Red to KZfaq Premium they switched over to unscripted content rather than scripted (that’s why shows like Cobra Kai moved over to Netflix)

​@@eula8567 It's is practically scripted, but everything the youtubers say and do is improv, the people around them however are on a script, and presumably the producers give them hints on where to stand and go because like in season 3, how else were the supposed to first meet calliope and mortimer, or how Ro and Matt went on the ferris wheel where there just so happened to be a newspaper talking about the killer clowns. This is in no way a criticism btw, I love how the series were set up and it really seems that the people involved loved doing the show. They're just a bunch of theatre kids at heart :)

I love Joey but if we’re being completely honest he really just not famous enough anymore for crowd funding. At least not compared to today standards. He no longer a top creator and a lot of the younger crowd don’t really even know him. He also doesn’t really seem into acting doing KZfaq any more he has a pretty bad upload schedule going months without uploads. And then You got the small backlash he gets for this recuses ( it not the end all be all canceled backlash just a good amount of people who feel Joey doesn’t know what he is doing and they may be right they have pointed out that has had multiple mistake that just shouldn’t have happen)

He would need to pay staff, pay for equipment, actors, costuming, venues, etc. how much do you think all that costs? Even if he was a millionaire he still has the right to ask his supporters to be apart of a project that requires more than money from 10 year old youtube videos.

Crowdfunding is NOT donations and it’s essentially helping with a project (in this instance, it’s a movie) by funding it (whether that be with $5 or $300) to be apart of the progress of the movie. Crowdfunders get access to early information about the project, secrets and behind the scenes stuff. You’re essentially helping make a movie without having to do any work. The whole point of crowdfunding is so that people see their “funds” are ACTUALLY going to what they want it to. Just because Joey made a career for himself off of KZfaq doesn’t mean that income is sufficient enough to fund an entire MOVIE. This is literally the same thing as a entrepreneur asking investors for investments. But instead it’s independent and not apart of a huge production company. If Joey wanted to be apart of a production company and sold the rights of “Escape the Night” to make a big blockbuster movie, I’m sure he would’ve. But instead he would rather stay independent and make his own production. Creators do this all the time, this isn’t a new thing.

@@RigorRabbit No, it isn't a new thing. They are essentially donations towards the creation of the series. Perhaps there will be small rewards but nothing to the actual value of the money given. It's just another cashgrab by a creator who hasn't been in vogue for a minute. People will absolutely buy in and that's for them, my gripe is at millionaires knowing hoarding cash while reaching their hand out for more.

A small trashy indie movie with unknown actors costs millions. You're either overestimating how much he has or you're underestimating how much it costs to have makeup artists, sound guys, editors, script writters, wardrobe, etc. While also have talent that are expensive af. He doesnt use run of the mill random ass actors, he uses people who are famous af in the influencer community. Talent ALONE could run up to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Y’all do realize this is NOT a little KZfaq series😂?? This is a whole entire movie?? Do you know how long and how much money it takes to write, and produce?? Having to pay professional costume designers, directors, actors, animal handlers, stunt people, venues, set decorations, camera crew, trailers etc?? One person funding all of that?? He could go broke trying to produce a whole movie himself without help rich or not. He is putting this movie out for his fans that have been begging for a season 5, the least we can do is make what WE want happen.
