This song in Married With Children was epic. Saw Anthrax a few years ago.(ears are stil ringing) played parts of Metallicas to livevis to die. In Worcester Massachusetts in 2019. Awesome show. There is a youtube video of it. Lets rock. (Bundy)

Sad Fact: When Anthrax was making this album the recording studio burned down and they lost all their equipment and recordings. So that was the latest thing to have happened to them *First time they get a chance to play arenas the tour is canceled, then first time they go to Europe Chernobyl happened, 3rd was when they were opening for Metallica back 1986 Cliff Burton dies* so that's why Persistence of Time is more angry than previous albums because frustration after frustration, I hate everyone I hate everything attitude

@helltoupee66648 жыл бұрын
+helder lopes Yeah I think of that album as being split into 3 sections.. The first section is a riff driven introduction to the new anthrax identity. The middle is great, melodic almost radio rockers. Definitely tells a story. And the third section of the album is a throwback to the band's style just before 90s hit. The third section reminds me so much of mid to late 80s anthrax, it's a breath of fresh air and I love the new album.. I can listen to all the way through and not skip any tracks.

Of course the whole class had gone quiet, listening, except me!! Embarrassing but funny great memories!! Thanks Anthrax- In My World !! X : )

A lie may fool someone else But it tells you the truth You're weak, just another clone I just want my life To do whatever I like Yeah, it's a selfish need To have no responsibility So I'll say what I'm gonna say Cause I'm going to hell anyway I'd rather be alone In my world I'm not afraid I am not afraid Nothing touches me I'm a walking razor blade Face the face of fear Face the face of death Laugh when others tear Hate when others laugh In my world it's so cold My defense is like stone No one gets inside, 'cause In my world I'm home In my world I loathe And you'll always pay a toll No one gets inside, 'cause In my world I'm home An adult at thirteen My childhood was a dream A full clout nightmare, a sight unseen My greatest fear as a kid One which I always kept hid Was to come home from school And find my mother dead I just want my life To do whatever I like Yeah it's a selfish need To have no responsibility So I'll say what I'm gonna say Cause I'm going to hell anyway I'd rather be alone In my world I'm not afraid I am not afraid Nothing touches me I'm a walking razor blade Face the face of fear Face the face of death Laugh when others tear Hate when others laugh In my world it's so cold My defense is like stone No one gets inside, 'cause In my world I'm home In my world I loathe And you'll always pay a toll No one gets inside, 'cause In my world I'm home Home!!! When I was a teenage thrasher I didn't like the Anthrax sound, always gravitating more towards Megadeth/Slayer/Annihilator/Overkill/Testament vibes. Now I'm 40 and while I still adore the bands I mentioned, I also started to appreciate Anthrax more and more. It started with Worship Music, then I fell in love with For All Kings. These are somewhat different than what Anthrax did in the 80s, but it started the landslide. For the past few days I'm obsessed with Persistence of Time, which became one of my Top 10 thrash metal albums ever recorded, on par with Rust In Piece, Reign in Blood or Never Neverland. This particular song might be my very favorite, however Belly of the Beast is a strong contender.
