You can buy modelling tools aswell as everything in this video in most grocery stores. walmart costco etc or you can buy them online also modelling tools are usually plastic and as long as you're not rough with them they will last other than that she used a pizza cutter, EXACTO knife, dotting tool you can find nail art ones cheap which are metal, cake leveler, icing spatula and nail scissors

I like it. To watch. But I would NEVER eat it and would never bake it. I just don't like these new modern types of fancy cake. I'm more oldfashioned. Enjoying those classic normal cakes.

Very interested to know where I could source the plastic dowel rods you used please? (UK) All I can get here is smoothy straws or awful, solid plastic things. I've never come across what you were using before....

Do you make your own fondant or do you purchase it? Is you purchase it, where do you buy it. I now black fondant is hard to achieve when coloring it by one's self.

oh yes, just look up on the 'net "rolled buttercream" and you'll find recipes for it. It's fondant except it tastes like buttercream and it's stickier

If you bake at a lower than normal temp, say 325 instead of 350, you will get a flat top on almost anything whether it be a cake or cupcakes. A higher temp will create a dome
