I am so glad you are raising your voice against the foundation color ranges! It's ridiculous...being INDIAN BRANDS how can they just launch 5 shades! India is a country where we can find people from every color possible...it's so much diverse...n due to such brands the mentality that... the white the better...only fair ppl are beautiful... all these myths are proved right!!! It's insane....all other Indian KZfaqrs should also take a stand as well as consumers should stop buying or else these brands would do whatever they want to.

Brands are not taking the shade range seriously in India cause still 40-50% Indians most of them are from small towns still think that shade lighter then their skin tone looks good on them cause they still can't accept their skin tone...so they buy lighter shades for base make-up... so brands are still getting profits without doing any hardwork on their shade range so they aren't taking shade range problem seriously... it's really heartbreaking

Great video! However, India is still *Adapting* to the make-up revolution, and having multiple shade ranges for any brand doesn't make *business* sense (we're obsessed with fairness, sigh). However, it's such a GREAT conversation you have started, bashing an OG brand like Lakme which has reach till the last village in India - YET they don't have colors for dusky skin? Pathetic. They could have used Kareena to blow out all other brands out of the market (Like Fenty) and launched 15-20 shades. It would have been great advertising even if the SKUs didn't sell. Seems like Indian beauty brands are run by morons. Even Nykaa - wtf with the toothbrush makeup brushes, nail polish holder, brush washer and silicone brushes. That's like Chinese stuff, which went viral AGES ago and is already dead! At least Nykaa should have more sense - but they run their company like teens running a school project - bombarding bloggers with SAME freaking stuff, making bad bad (meeting the EX makeup look?LOL) content on their KZfaq Channel WITH THE SAME 5 bloggers and not pro MUAs, and Launching CRAP products.

Don't entirely agree with the Clinique critique. Apart from the blush and the mascara, they don't really have any 'typical makeup' products in the FIT range. Most seem to be just skin care/hygiene related. However, even if they did launch a full fledged gym makeup, it would still make sense for people who don't have the luxury of time to visit a gym beyond work hours (which is why several offices also provide gym facilities). In such cases, you do still want to look presentable after the workout instead of having to remove and reapply makeup. Also, makeup designed for gym related activities is likely to offer waterproof characteristics for other activities like going to the beach etc. It may also help people, who, in their daily work, are constantly on the move, but need some long lasting sweat-proof options. On one hand we do talk about inclusiveness, on the other, it seems a bit unfair to judge products simply because you won't use them in the gym.

I agree to so many things you’re saying. There are many people who are not comfortable or confident with their skin. Especially when there is a large number of people who are looking at you. If makeup people makes someone confident, then we should acceptable of that.

You must be right about the different formulation for different countries thingi.. I bought a mac prolong wear concealer from MAC US site and it was amazing and i bought the same concealer twice from our local store and it is a total different formulation and coverage.
