This video is a showcase of all 35+ new enemies you can add to The Binding of Isaac Repentance by using the mod "Restored Monsers Pack" by Team Compliance. It adds enemies that were cut in the development of Repentance, enemies that were left in Antibirth as well as completely new ones! Enjoy~

Honestly I feel like it’s absurd that the dumpling enemy from antibirth didn’t make the cut while the lil dumpy item did. Imagine if your a new player encountering the item for the first time. They would have no idea that it was based on an enemy. This mod is great and adds a lot more atmosphere to floors that really needed it.

Dumplings were cut because Kilburn hated them. Dumplings and Skinlings would just float above rocks and not engage with you. This mod fixes that by having these enemies target you directly instead of wandering.

i remember how i discovered antibirth in 2018 and it was so good, i loved this mod so much and it was so heartbreaking to see mobs like dumplings and screamers just cut out of repentance. god bless modders.

I like some the updates to antibirth enemies to make them fairer. screamers dont paralyze and fear, but give a pseudo chariot? effect. Coils are shorter and dont do damage on their own too.

Fiend Folio and Reworked Foes both add things that are similar in concept, but very few things that are exactly the same.

I think the only ones that are remotely similar are Canaries and Foreigners from FF with the Tech item Dumplings and the butt fly guys from FF on basement Maybe blood worms and Roy Gerald Dericott II? Might be a stretch tho

The nightwatch is an enemy I wished got added in because it'd make good puzzle sections though I can see why they were removed in the first place since it'd slow the pace of the game down which'd possibly discourage people from taking the mausoleum route

Imma be real, i think a lot of these should stay gone. I remember og antibirth, cells suck to fight because the cells thst pop out pop at full hp again. The electic spike room is guaranteed damage with low enough speed, and the night watch slows the game tona screeching halt. It's cool thst they're back but I'm not gonna argue that they did wrong by removing them.

for the cells a base cell only has 8 hp, and also i'm assuming they likely did some reworking of the enemies for the coil spike room there are rooms in isaac which are already like that (double lust room in womb for instance) also from my experience the night waters aren't much of a threat, if you have a good run then you can basically just ignore em so i wouldn't say that they slow the game at all

Like I said in the bginning, some are enemies that are in the oficiial game files but have not been finished, some are enemies that are in Antibirth (which is the mod that was the base for Repentance) but never got used in the official game. And a few are completely new ones. They all got turned into 1 mod.

Swapper has an alt sprite, although unused. They won't appear in Gehenna to keep the variety of each floor

Actually there is a repentance enemy that took the name Fissure. Those hopping skulls in Downpour are named Fissure

Seeing the added pack of enemies, I came up with 2 Possible Challange related to the mod, here they are: 1: Nightwatcher Challange consists of a run of pure rooms of that style creating the atmosphere of a Survivor Horror and that the reward gives you some kind of chandelier that makes the enemies passively blind and the floor becomes dark and increases the rate of fire (due to the fear caused by the darkness) but its counterpart makes it shoot more erratically and is an active element. 2:Carrion rider Challange and its reward: Isaac starts with the passive mount of this same one and, like a pony, has an active one of devouring enemies and getting into the ground and coming out elsewhere, unlike this one, he cannot fly but every For some time you can dig passively to enter other areas that are inaccessible by walking alone. If anyone can think of anything else it would be interesting to hear :3

Overall, most of them were cut out fairly due to their boring design and abilities. But these enemies are interesting enough to be part of the main game: 5:37 6:37 7:38 8:07 8:28 9:43 13:18

Seeing this, I believe that they removed these old enemies because they were too simple, unbalanced or because they didn't like them anyway. You can see that some enemies are a bit vague and don't add much to the gameplay, like the Nightwatch, which can literally be ignored. Others appear to be very unbalanced or difficult, which would make gameplay difficult. Like the Necromancer, who keeps spawning skeletons to bother you, and keeps doing this until you kill him. Still, many are cool, but I believe the developers had good reasons to "remove" them from the game. But who knows, they'll return in a future update? Like the Clutch that appeared in the game after it was updated!

you are severely exaggerating that "finished repentance" statement, its only like 35+ enemies which is small in comparison to the literal doubled character roster in repentance also they said that the delirium rework isn't coming out
