9:30ish into this video, I've been there at that time late night when Latch is unleashing 3 chords and the truth. I added some welcomed harmonica one night and helped break down the equipment. from 2001-2003 I played early to very late slots at the antihoot. A real cutting room and community for song writers.

Use to play at Sophies on 5th street back in 85 or so-I remember the Communists singing "Dance Around the Cheese"--still makes me laugh-so much fun--great memories---thanks Lach!

I have to agree with Bitsy here. The college kids who made this seemed to chose all the more so-called folkie acts who were not regular performers on the scene, Perhaps they were friends of the filmmakers. Antifolk is invisible anyway.

Yin and yang man. Culture war, social revolution by some. Thirst and Lust by others. It's all stick a brightly colored feather in your cap, and claim a cool good sounding thing for yourself. The 1st Gen Hipsters were nothing like todays Gen. Friends era liberals are nothing like the highly militarized/enflamed hate filled liberals of today. Right wingers unite with blacks, gays, muslims, pro-abortion. I have seen burly bikers protect black highschool student from vicious pro-black mob because he is none conformist or "aint black" as Biden would say. I have seen Right wingers swear by the Vax, and trash Trump. I have seen Rap called R&B, and a general confusion of words. Tower of babble. But none can dispute, who started the anti folk scene and where it did start.
