I just found one while cleaning up some scrap for a customer. It's the biggest Ive ever seen. It is 8 ft 4inches long and can weigh up to 800lbs! Where urs has 12 and 3 stamped mine has 16 on both sides as well as the word 'fairbanks.' Thank u for showing how it works!

I just got one that's about that size that was my wife's families. Haven't had time to see what size pea it needs. My brother in law has one that's about twice this size. He found them both and hung them in a shop building (almost exactly like yours looks!) for display. But I talked him into letting me have the smaller one. Funny thing is I was in another building on the farm after researching these on line and realized the big iron thing hanging on the wall was the pea for one of them!

How do I determine the weight I should have for my scale one side goes to 70lbs the other is 259

F1 x D2 = F2 xD2 solve for F2 F2 =F1 x D1 / D2 Wt. of Pea = (known Wt. of object) x (distance of known wt. from pivot) / (distance to mark on scale for know weight)
