I watched the video when he made those blanks he put a wooden dowel it the corn cob because the center was to soft.

Awesome lure mate, glad you decided to use the blank. The one you used was Tasmanian hardwood. The other has a higher chance of floating as it’s Balsa. I do show the process of re coring them in some of mine, the center doesn’t hold up otherwise. Again, awesome work mate 👌🏼👌🏼

Ive never heard you once speak of elections or pandemics or riots or lockdowns, or anything like that, watching your videos makes things just seem more normal. It's a huge relief to not hear someone ever mention anything else, just a really talented bait maker, doing what he loves. Dude... I think the lathe made for a quick way to get down to the corn cob finish before sanding it to final form.

Does that lathe have speed adjustments? Judging by the "chunking" it needs to be slowed down....or your tools sharpened and used with less pressure.
