The ones with holes are Japanese Netsuke. They are quite valuable determined by age, quality of carving and artist. You can most likely sell them by documenting the age, before the ivory ban. However, i think some of these are merely resin, especially the white ones with no natural grain differentiation.

Extrodenary piece, I would get them appraised or take them to a museum and have a curator look at them. I really think these are the best pieces I've ever seen you find. How exciting ❤

Wrong you can sell it. All you have to do is prove its made before the ban. You have makers marks so it will be easy to sell.

Most of those pieces are Netsukes The Japanese when they wore kimonos would hook a small "purse, inro, or tobacco pouch" on a cord with the netsuke on the other end. The cord would run under their obi with the netsuke at the top to keep the cord from falling out.

Some of those are Netsukes . The ones with the holes . Some are worth money. O would surely have them checked out. Good find , good luck!

I have had some pieces like these that are very detailed and hand carved. I think they are 20th. You can google translate the makers mark to get the artist name

Please please take those to have be evaluated. I’ve heard those fancy auction houses like in New York. You can also send pictures to some places .. will also do appraisals on items. Wish I knew more. Be sure to have those look at Wade.

The Seattle Asian Art Museum could help you with this or give you the name of someone closer to you that can appraise etc. If there’s any paperwork found to provide authentic information on them, keep it. You’ll will need it.

I had a piece left to me. I contacted Ivory Experts. Sent pics they got back to me right away. Said it was 100yo. It costs $200 for the cert so it can be sold. I just don’t know where to sell it.

Very sad and I’m glad they don’t kill the poor elephants these days to take the ivory. Still sad that it happened but everyone has their own views. Even though beautiful I’d have to burry them together out of respect for the animal
