Antique John Deere G ~ Pulling Up Brush

3 жыл бұрынMy husband use to tractor pull, then we were loggers. The big "G" has done it all. Now it is one of our biggest farm tractors and still as you can see going very strong. This brush clean job would have been impossible without the big John Deere G!

Turn the tractor around. Keep cable tight. Dont hook it to front wheels. Reverse in low range is very strong. If you keep going this way . Cable snaps your dead if you get hit. Also tractor will climb axle and can flip.

hi; i am still working on a big letter for you. i been in hospital most of this week . just over worked 17 year old who has no time for food . the animals have to eat first they depend on both of us.

Pulling a tractor to start it up like that can ruin it if you have water in the cylinders if you keep it outside

even if it is a 2 cylinder water does not like to be compressed and the piston cranks will bend and cease i've seen i happen before@@cs-gj3yf

Also making it so you're front end goes up is just dangerous with the way the cylinders are on those old John Deere letter model tractors if you go past 50 degrees of nose height jump off it'll turn over on you even if you have the clutch disengaged. My great uncle killed himself that way back in 54 on a John Deere 60. Since then my family has been Farmall and that have more power.

Ore you can get two sets of front wheel weights and a set of rear weights and pull it that way.

For logging (that the great grandfather probably did with that G) it can be useful to have it high to lift the log from digging in. But I agree with the wheelies. Bust the front end off if you're not sleeping under it after slipping the clutch.

That is a foolish way to hook to the tractor, hooking high will flip that tractor over easily, hook as low as possible under the drawbar
