That must be the European version of a piano stool, 'cause I've not seen anything like it in my (limited) American wanderings. So very beautiful, and a delight to watch the magic happen at your hands.

It is a Germany made piano, before the Second World War. The fabric made 200 pianos only after they closed. I have one from my grandmother and adore it, but when she was moving front Germany borders painted it in black. I always wondered how it was before. Thank you

Ich bin begeistert. Ein Möbel in einer sehr seltenen Form. Wieder toll zurecht gemacht. Mit einem runden Messingtablet oder einer etwas größeren Glasplatte kann man den Hocker auch sehr gut als verstellbaren Beistelltisch nutzen. Mit einem Kissen ist er auch für Kater geeignet.😊 Meiner zumindest. Wieder ein tolles Video. Danke dafür 👍👍👍👍👍

I love seeing old furniture and other items restored rather than being destroyed or ending up in a landfill. The stool is beautiful again and still useful for a piano or to be repurposed elsewhere in the home.

I'd not seen a stool like that. Most of my sightings were of a low bench with hinged seat for sheet music or the circular adjustable seat with a center tube supported at the bottom of the column by four roller feet. Hard wax may be what is called "bowling alley wax". Thanks for the insight. Narragansett Bay.

não é, e as cabeças dos parafusos estavam enferrujadas, provavelmente o corpo deles tambem, o que irá contaminar a madeira em volta

They are both glutinous glues. The hide glue is a little more elastic. I like to mix both 1/1. 😀

It is a fabric with almost 60% leather content. It is bonded leather.

Schönes Video, Chris. Der Hocker sieht Klasse aus! 👍 Die Beine sehen fast wie Bambus aus Meiner sieht etwas anders aus, vom Unterbau.😁 Ui die Trapezgewindestange wurde auch schon mal repariert (E-geschweißt).🤔 Bei 06:55 sieht es so aus, als wenn der Fuß mit einem Holzdübel nochmals gesichert wurde?🤔 Was für einen Stoff hast Du verwendet, bei mir sieht es nach Leder aus? Schöne Woche gewünscht.

Danke dir 👍 Es ist eine Lederfaserstoff. Hoher Lederanteil. Aber günstiger als reines Leder und einfacher zu verarbeiten. Grüße

Super pretty you can just imagine how many butts have sat on that stool LOL no pun intended sorry I couldn't pass it up😂 I just have a question would it be easier to like take the feed off in the legs off do they just unscrew or is it easier to do it the way you're doing it ? Sure looks beautiful❤

Hello. It's easier to edit if you disassemble it. But since my legs were so strong, I decided to go this route. It would have been more work to remove and reinstall the legs. Greetings

Мне не понравилось ,как вы наклеили сверху стульчика обивку, скорей всего это кожзаменитель.Ну очень , очень неаккуратно,рваные кроя по диаметру торчат.Вы их хотели заправить во внутрь,но увы,у вас это не получилось.Нужно было вырезать диаметр кожзама на 1,5 мм меньше и тогда он бы приклеился ,аккуратно,а так стульчик потерял товарный вид.Вся ваша работа потеряла смысл.Очень неаккуратно смотрится верх стульчика.Остальная работа выполнена хорошо
