"What do I do with it?!" A Very reasonable question when in a state of absolute shock. Far more polite than I would have been. Good for her and her family. I hope it helps them out.

This is such a great show. I wish they would play this on the history channel over those reality tv pawn star shows. This is much more intriguing and informative even without the dramatic music and effects. Thanks for the videos PBS!

Vi Ma wow, aren’t you boring. If the owner had never handled it wearing gloves I’m pretty sure the 2 seconds he touched it for wouldn’t have made a big difference

@@vima8680 Actually, that isn't necessarily true. Old books are handled without gloves quite regularly, it all depends on their condition.

How do you know his name? I guess it doesn't matter what his name is I just wanted to reply and say I agree 100%. Watch the appraisal on the black woman's beauty products book and see him at his finest. Blew me away the man is so informed, educated and hilarious in his replies in his own unique way.

There are a LOT of wealthy Mormons. There are many wealthy Mormon collectors who will pay large sums of money for historic LDS items. Historic Mormon items always bring in large sales prices.

I have a stratavarilus violin VERY old and real looking...I live near San Diego calif...when are y'all coming close to me??? How can I tell if this is something or not something??no realize there are. Many fake reproductions of this brand violin..

Antiques Roadshow will be in San Diego on May 29, 2018. You have to have a ticket to get in. Contact your local PBS affiliate to apply for a ticket.

Hello, the famous Italian violin maker was called Antonio Stradivari. His name was usually written in Latin in labels as “Antonius Stradivarius”.
