These old episodes are great when I need distraction from the thoughts running around my head and from worrying about things I can‘t change. Thank you for uploading them! :)

That is the prettiest music box I've seen. Dragonfly & butterfly strikers for heaven's sake.
@listeningeyes99902 жыл бұрын
Kathy Florcruz, I agree about the pretty music box. But that woman looking it over and giving her “opinion” on it, instead of saying “the music”, she said “apart from looking at it, it also makes wonderful noise”. “Wonderful noise”? No woman, it was wonderful MUSIC😊.

I love the old editions of Antiques Roadshow. The Poshies are funny when describing their items. I love the lady who puts her porcelain in the dishwasher!! The expression of the valuer was classic!!!

I loved seeing the painting of bored, wriggly children; passing notes, dreaming of being anywhere, but there! Thanks again for up loading these totally captivating videos!

I second that. The world has gone upside down. I remember when the phone went from the wall to the table. Ye gads!

I wish my history teachers had been as colorful and pleasant as all of the appraisers of the wonderful and mysterious items. It could have been a game changer for me. Love and cherish this show! Thank you!

Good show as usual. One little nit pick: @ 16.00 the lady is talking about the Eskimo doll and says that it mght have been made to commemorate Scotts antarctic expedition. That might have been true. It is also true that there are no Eskimos in the Antarctic.

nasty name from the Cree but until recently very common usage

True, granted, but Bunny's not going to like you after that outburst. (That was a silly mistake, tho.)
@listeningeyes99902 жыл бұрын
Christeky, As far as the word/term “Eskimo” goes, instead of respectfully referring to each individual tribes, the lazy whites threw all tribes into one word/term “Eskimo”.
@jayburris62522 жыл бұрын
Eye roll! Being from Alaska I can tell you I never heard anyone offended by that term or by the term “Native.” You however did the same lumping all “whites” into one lazy category. Just stop!

That place was built by previous giants of previous civilizations. Praying monks sure didn't contruct it. It's a shame it was allowed to go to ruin, but that helps hide history.

Fountains Abbey was built by the order over a number of centuries and fell into disrepair with the Dissolution of the monasteries.
@andreaandrea67162 жыл бұрын
I don't know about this particular abbey, but often it WAS the monks who built them.

As much as I am anti-church, I have to remember that it was the church that supported artists (albeit for the purpose of producing religious paintings), and some of the hymns are exquisite ... as well as Gregorian chants. So, SOME good came of 'all of that' (I cannot believe I am defending in any way, shape or form. Hmmm).

Just like we tolerate ill mannered people like you, who could've, and should've, just sat through it but instead chose to insult Christians worldwide. That was a choice. You still live at your momma's house, huh? She didn't teach you basic manners.
