Ive alway been interested in weapons throughout history especially primitive ones, i tried to make this Antler Club look as authentic as i could this is why i used wrought iron as the arrow head on it and etched it.

I myself make all sort of weapons from all sort of things😁. Its so good to feel that im not at all alone to be totally bonkers in the head 🤣. Showed my gf this and she immideatly replayed..oohh..way dont we look if we can arrange a playdate with Mr Deadpool and my own little Hulk🤣🤣🤣🤣 Love your vids man.

Historical builds are great because they've been tested ages ago, and if they weren't effective then they wouldn't have been used for hundreds of hundreds of years! This was a b.a idea for a build 😁👍🏽

Awesome! Reminds me of an Indian Gunstock warclub from Last of The Mohicans. Nice use of the Shinto rasp on the handle too 👍 I'll have to get better at flint knapping, and I'll see if I can make you an axe head from some Flint or Obsidian, I'm still practicing making arrowheads at the moment though 🤣

@@DiesInEveryFilm Yup, large pieces are a massive pain to knap, I've been practicing though. An Ishi stick helps a lot, look it up 👍 Also, a good medium to practice knapping on is the bottom of beer bottles, or old floor tiles.

Looks really nice, though maybe next time instead of cord, you might try wrapping with wet rawhide. As it dries, it hardens and tightens.

It’s a historic replica and used a twine which I replaced with jute as it looked similar.

what kind of wood was that? Ash? And this got me thinking...I wonder if it's possible to make a battle axe type weapon, but it's like deer antlers? Like a pick axe, but with say three or four tines...imagine a cross between a trident and a battle axe...

Absolutely stunning piece of work, extremely well done! If I had the skills to make something like this I think I would have used thin strips of wet rawhide to do the bindings, they would then dry out over time and become even tighter. Still ,bloody wel done!! BTW I was surprised to find your a fellow Brit!

I love the build, I could see something like that being used by native Americans, but with a stone blade of course. The comedy just adds to the video's, that' guy's reaction to you (WTF) was perfect, and yes we love the outtakes! Don't fuck off :)

I used brass rod to help with retention of it and prevent flex
