📖 Discover Valencia: Your Essential Guide to Living and Loving Life in Spain
payhip.com/b/DKdBS
In this video I explore the possible reasons why many Americans who can not afford the life in the US are moving abroad. It is important to acknowledge that the reasons behind Americans leaving the United States are multifaceted and intricate. Although economic factors, political reasons may be a contributing, individuals and families are also seeking new experiences and opportunities overseas for personal, social, and cultural reasons. The desire to live abroad can stem from seeking a more serene and stable life, learning new languages and cultures, and a range of other factors. Although the United States will always be home to many, the appeal of personal growth, cultural immersion, and adventure will continue to inspire people to explore new frontiers.

Nice video (it came on my live feed, via algorithms. I assume). I lived in Spain, in the late 90s, when I was a Teen. Went to School there. España wasn't using the Euro. It was La Peseta.😊 I miss Paella, Chocolaté con Churros, bailando en Las Discotecas a cerca de Grandvia😢 However, I know I need to exit the US soon. My Mental state of mind is not doing so well. I need a new Country to explore.👍 Cheers for the video!😊

I think in your video you are mistaking "woke" as one of the problems that is making people leave America. It's the "woke" people that are wanting to flee the US. Many Spanish countries, including Spain, are "woke" paradises, aka very liberal and eyes open to the struggles and injustices faced by minorities, and very accepting of different people. Anti-woke people would never move to a country like Spain from the US which is becoming more anti-woke by the day.

@ANTOANETTA NOW Not only the cost of living but because of the politics, and the price of inflation keeps going up. The price of housing and rent also keeps going up. Can't even afford a decent home anymore in the USA. People here in America are getting fed up with it. Just how is Spain affordable and low cost of living? Should I research about moving to Spain?

I love the US. I lived in Europe. As a black person, Europe doesn't do it for me. I create my happiness. If where you live is too expensive, then move. It's a big country. The health care system can only be changed by Americans. We vote for these politicians who don't care about the American people. Obama tried to provide health care for Americans, but people fought against it. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those people moved out of the country. Only Americans can improve their lives here. You sound a bit bitter. I lived in Spain. The police watch crime taking place and do nothing. I've been there and done that. Europe is for Europeans, and I never felt comfortable there . Italy and Portugal are extremely racist. Spain is great, but the bureaucracy is too much for me. I realize that as a black person living in so-called white societies , I will always face racism. I prefer the people of Latin America. You can have Europe and its ever growing hate groups. Ciao!

when I come back to the US, I become numb and forget how nice it is, I have a energy that is amazing, I can sleep only 4 hours and be able to go out, I am hating the hot months, but I forget it and start thinking, US is better. The daily walking 4 or more hours is why people live healthy and long. I will drink and smoke if I go there, which I dont in the US. maybe there is some good things in the US, but you end up dying and missing out on everything. The millionaire in the grave, so much to do in Spain, and you are in a violent country where anything can happen, due to politicians who worship a old man, which is also worshiped by the president of spain and most of the world.

On the topic of food another important and often overlooked point is how much crap they put in our food here in the US. Recently an article came out about the high amount of potassium bromate in the bread in the US. It's a contributor to cancer and diabetes and a number of other diseases. In Europe it's illegal to put that and several other damaging chemicals in food. So not only is food cheaper in Europe, it won't kill you like the food in the US does. It's a lose-lose situation here: the food makes us sick, and we can't afford the healthcare to treat our sickness.

Watching your videos has only reinforced what I've felt deep inside. I came to the US at 15, and am very grateful for the opportunities given, but I can feel the glass ceiling in corporate America, how polarized it has become, how you have to be of a certain race/ethnicity and political view, in order to move up the ladder. I have been dying to get out of the US considering how horrible the political and economic climate is. The US is just full of empty promises. If you are working remote definitely it can be a good choice for you guys at the moment. But if you plan to work for spanish companies you are going to be struggling in some cases, specially in big cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia or Bilbao. Salaries are quite low in Spain and rents are increasing, that means you are not going to have savings or easy access to buy a house. Also the new coming of remote expats workers from richer countries like USA are making some cities to suffer the gentrification and it makes everything expensive for local people, so that idyllic atmosphere where everything is cheap and accesible might disappear soon in the biggest cities.

If you work and earn an income, it will not be that easy to go to a free health clinic. I can go to an emergency room and be treated and then I will receive a bill. Health care in America is super expensive and there are many people who cannot afford healthcare and so then go without. Many working Americans who are struggling to make pay their bills, rent as well as buy food do not qualify for Free healthcare. I have been without health for over 10 years before you say BS. There are many good reasons for moving to Europe. However, the price of gas and food are not among them. They could be higher here than in the US. Housing prices might be lower, depending on what place you are moving from and where you are moving to. I would say Spain is today not a particularly cheap country anymore. It used to be. If you are wanting cheap living, I would rather consider places in eastern Europe: Romania, Bulgaria, Poland.

It is massively cheaper than Spain and not near as hot and the summer weather is not near as consistently hot, while making it possible for bicycle or motorcycle use, most of the year. Both, Buenos Aires and Los Angeles are at 34 degrees latitude one on the Northern hemisphere the other on the Southern. Yes, the opportunities I had as a new college grad in the 1990s, just don't exist for most young people today unfortunately. The American middle class has has shrunk considerably since then. The wealth of the rich has exploded and many middle class families have fallen into poverty as wages stagnated. Corporations has raped workers for their productivity while refusing to share a reasonable percentage of profits with workers AND refusing to pay into public funds.
