Also keep in mind that David A took the fight with Boots on very short notice and only had a few weeks to train. David looked washed against Ennis. I could see it in his eyes. With that said, these guys fought two completely different versions of David A. David was hungry and determined with a full training camp against Bud. I will stand by this and Bud would stop Boots. Not an easy fight, but he would systematically break him down and frustrate the young Lion. I would compare that hypothetical fight to how Mayweather beat a prime and slick Zab Judah back in the day.

Watch both fights (Boot v Ava) and (Bud v Ava). Boot was got touched because he lacked focus in spots, like Tarver said, because didn't respect/fear Ava; Bud was getting touched because Ava was good enough to land good shots on him.
