Same. Especially when you realize Roy wasn't that technical, text book wise anyways. He was just so dominant and gifted in natural abilities thst when that went away his boxing iq, and fundamental couldn't keep him afloat.

@@csl9495 he was still a good technical boxer just his elite athleticism was gone after going from 199 of pure muscle down back to 175...Tarver would have given him a problem because Tarver is 6'2" 175 naturall and Roy was a 5'10 blow up jr middle weight but once Roys elite reflexes was gone he could no longer outspeed the bigger guys and take their cracks like he did when they were younger....Roy should have went downt o cruiser weight afer Ruiz...Tarver made the same mistake after the Rocky movie he blew up to 244 and went back down to 174 and was drained when he fought B Hop.

I just don't understand why so many people thought Spence had a shot. His reputation is way overstated. He's never been this destroyer everyone made him out to be. He couldn't get Mikey Garcia out of there and got hurt multiple times by Porter and Ugas... He had no shot at winning. Period. That 7th round was just hard to watch. Crawford looked so great and Spence was so out of it. That fight could've been stopped in the 7th round. Clearly.

My thoughts exactly. I was trying to tell people that the fight wouldn’t be as close as they thought. I did not however expect the one sided demolition that happened. I’ve been saying that Spence is by and large a hype job who has no head movement, has a rudimentary skill set, can only fight moving forward and doesn’t possess one punch knockout power.

I saw this fight at Dave and Buster's. I was cussing all in front of children because it was so crazy to see Crawford do that man like that. That POWER right jab was killing Spence. It was like Winky Wright vs. Trinidad all over again: a natural right-hander who southpaws and sticks that power right jab in your face the entire night. It's like a cheat code to be able to do that. As a big fan of both I wasn't pulling for neither. I said before the fight that Bud Crawford was the better boxer but that Spence's size would present problems. And like Tarver (who has forgotten more about boxing than I will ever know) I thought Spence would be more competitive. I thought if Bud took him it would be towards the later rounds after he figured out Spence's timing and he started countering. He did all of that just a lot earlier than I thought. Hats off to Bud Crawford he is a master boxer. I hope Spence didn't get brain damage tonight and I am being sincere when I say that.

Agreed about brain damage. I said Bud would take him apart and people called me crazy. I'm a fan of Bud, and was rooting for him. At the same time, Spence looked BAD both physically, mentally and emotionally after the fight. I gaurentee he was hospitalized. He didn't sound or look rough. Absolutely a concussion. Sounded punch drunk and old. And I actually felt bad. People don't realize how hard those shots he took were. Bud hits like a freight train at this weight and he's slips them in fast and with leverage when you're wide open. They don't look super hard as far as winding up etc. But they are. He can throw a looping shot with full power and close the distance with his body at the same time. Spence isnt gonna be the same again

@@el34glo59 You weren't crazy at all for thinking that. And I wasn't trying to play both sides of the fence I just sincerely like both fighters. Spence did sound really bad and unfortunately I think you're right. He probably won't be the same again. As you recounted Bud was cracking him with shots that were hard AF and to be honest I think Crawford held back a little as strange as that sounds. I hope my man Errol (and yes he's still my guy because I don't abandon fighters I like just because they loose) does get the medical treatment he needs.

@@RP-zm9kh Agree with the health recovery and the healthy retirement if that's what he chooses. I think Spence can come back and win some more fights against high level fighters. I just don't think he should ever be in the ring with Bud Crawford again.

BUD CRAWFORD has shown to everyone that he has levels to the boxing game and for sure there’s no fighter in his ERA that can go as DEEP as he can… I knew he was SPECIAL but now we all know.. He was knocked out on his feet by the second knock down, fighting on pure instincts. His corner should have recognized that and stopped it at the end of the 7th.

I remember people arguing with me over this. I told everyone "Crawford is a slow starter. Spence's best bet is to try to ko him in the first three rounds. After that, Bud is going to give him a beating and stop him by the 11th." People called me crazy. I look like Nostradamus now. Bud simply has too many tools for Spence. Spence is a great ONE-DIMENSIONAL fighter. He usually pressures and breaks fighters. Once that didn't work, he looked lost in there...and I knew he wouldn't break Bud.

Nah, Canelo got beat but never destroyed. The ref saved Errol from permanent brain damage. He's probably getting his brain scanned right now. I hope he's okay. Spence has no business getting in the ring with Crawford ever again. It would be a worst outcome than tonight
